Hey! the really OFF TOPIC is: Does anyone have a mascara that they LOVE!!! I can`t find one that I like... and I have tried many!
ON TOPIC.... I started a new project for summer.. so I have to really work fast on it.. using Esprit. It feels so good to knit! doing#22 p.73 Norah Gaughan in Vogue knitting Spring/summer 2009 in sort of an apricot color. Bought during the `bag` sale... Also bought a lavender to make a more lacy short cardigan.. and a soft yellow to use with the other two colors to make a striped tank. The left overs I thought might work up into a nice little baby sweater??? found out yesterday that we have 2 babies on the way... (niece and nephew`s wife) due in the fall.. just 2 weeks apart!

On the OT - I don`t know if I LOVE it, but Maybelline`s Define-a-lash (mine`s a green tube) is so far my preference. I like the bendy brush, and it`s better than most at not leaving raccoon stripes under my eyes in the first couple of hours.

The top sounds lovely! And yes, I`d bet the leftovers will make cute baby items. My very, very first pair of socks, back in 2005, were done in Esprit. Thank you, Alice!!

Hmmm, mascara. I usually resort to L`Oreal Voluminous which doesn`t smudge or clump and helps with my less than luxurious, light brown lashes. I don`t even bother with my lower lashes...can`t see `em - they`re clear!!
Love the Norah G. patterns. Glad you are up to knitting again. Bet it feels great!

I buy the cheapest I can find. So if you go in, and it is really cheap, that is probably my brand.

The cosmetics prices stuck in my head are from 1976 and I get sticker shock every single time I try to buy a lipstick, I swear...

The real secret to mascara is that each time you use it, run the wand under the tap with very hot water before you apply it. This will eliminate the blobs that you get when the fluid has started to dry up. It gives you a very natural look. Give it a try and let us know.

L`Oreal Lash Out. I use it because I have super greasy tears, and am REALLY ultra racoony. This stays in one place on me.

CoverGirl Professional mascara, brown-black, with curved wand, $4.95Cdn. I`ve used it for years and would have to kill myself if they ever took it off the market.

I`m going to wait (im)patiently to see pics of your Esprit projects, Cheryl...I`ve a bag of the light blue that I`ve been wondering what to do with!

Mascara: CoverGirl Lash Blast with an orange wand. You can usually buy one and get another one free.

Knitting: I`m happy it feels so good and can`t wait to see your top.

Can`t wait to see your projects. I have , ahem, a "several" bags I binged on the bag sale too, and still find odd balls I wish I had bought bags of, but have yet to find the perfect project for this. It does seem like the perfect stuff for baby sweaters, DD#1 made two for my cousin big sister and little sister sweaters when she had her second daughter, but I have yet to hear how well they wore.

Thanks everyone.. will make a list of all brands suggested and see which ones I can find.... and try them. My lashes and eye brows did not come back very well after the last chemo... and I look terrible without eyes!!
As far as the knitting.... My knitting time is competing with my painting time.... but... I am trying for a ball a day... that is a goal, but not a reality! Need to not read right now... just paint and knit... should stop eating also!!!lol have gained about 15-20 lbs since DS left.... and that has got to go!!

I just found new mascara called Kiss me mascara. Its something you have to buy online or at beauty salons. Its the coolest stuff. I have major racoon eyes like Bets and this is the first mascara that doesn`t come off until you take it off. BUT its not like water proof mascara that requires special remover. The mascara creats a tube around your lashes and it really stays all day. When you want to take it off you have to use warm water and a wash cloth and you end up with these little tubes of mascara on your wash cloth. Really works great and I just went on a cruise to the carribean and I didn`t have racoon eyes once even with the humidity!

I`m hopeless at this but someone recommended the Maybelline Great Lash but I don`t wear mascara since the eye surgery. Putting in drops every hour makes mascara kind of a mess and the waterproof kind irritates my eyes plus I can`t get the dang stuff off and I`m not supposed to rub my eyes. Jeez, I am so boring. :)
