and I am sitting inside and working on my income tax. Tomorrow proofread. I prefer outside or knitting. I have to do it because Tuesday have an appointment with the accountant. What are you all doing this weekend?

It is cold and rainy. We were almost into water rationing (and starting it in March ought to say how DRY we were) so I am relieved. We need a little bit more, and if it has to be 45 outside, so be it. It will be hot soon enough.

SK- I`m glad it`s so nice where you are, even if you are cooped up inside with the taxes.

It is unseasonably warm and sunny; bright blue skies that are lovely but scream, sunscreen or else! I`m having an extended birthday celebration this wknd with lots of knitting, good food, and thank you notes.

We need rain as well, Bets, and getting all excited about a 20% chance sometime next week.

Shui Kuen,
I am procrastinating on the taxes, as usual! Getting everything else done BUT that. Good to have that deadline of your accountant appointment.
Friday night went to DS`s jazz concert, and Sunday afternoon will be going to another one. I am planning on getting my sample summer yarns order in sometime on Sunday with a few other things I`d been thinking of getting.

Ugh, we haven`t started on taxes yet. Procrastination R Us.

Going to a kid`s bday party tomorrow. Chipping away at weeding.

Rainy and cold here, torrential rains brought a Great Egret in for a visit yesterday morning. An all white bird the size of a Great Blue Heron really stands out at my house.:)

We`re having the forecast coastal windstorm but also a bit of snow as we are "at higher altitudes" here. Had enough of this winter - it`s supposed to be sunny with all the daffodils out. We`re having friends come for an early supper andthen watching the curling Brier finals. They live at sea level so hope they`ll be able to get up the ridge.
Working hard to get the rest of my thesis revised and satisfy my supervisor - she keeps saying "More!More!" but the 80 pages that it`s supposed to be are now about 160. She`s just got back from a month in Australisa and New Zealand, so I`ve probably got a day or two more thanks to jet lag.

Just finished a scarf in handpainted yarn in Barbara Walker`s `Subtle Mesh` pattern (Book 3 - the yellow one)- looks great. The short colour repeats form concentrations of colour which zigzag across, but because of the mesh pattern, no blobs. Those of you coming to dye yarn in June will see it and get to try it out. It`s a fun knit.

This is our 5th day of cold rain.... I now know I could not live anywhere it rains all the time! So depressing.. I have plenty to do, but I just don`t feel like doing anything.. Have not gone out of the house except to take the dog out.
Sorry you are not able to go out and enjoy your nice weather... I hate taxes... not so much having to pay them, but having to do them! There has to be a better way!
