Hi everyone, it`s been some time since I`ve checked it and I hope that everyone is doing well.
I wanted to give everyone a heads up (although I am probably the last to know this), Addi is going to be releasing a set of interchangeable needles that sound really neat. They don`t screw in place but rather "click" into place. They are a little pricey, but knowing Addi they will be worth it. Release date is late October early November. You can read about them here:http://www.addineedleshop.com/addi_click.htm

I read on Rav Addi group that LYSs accept pre-orders and will ship in October.

Hi, Patricia! Funny, I was thinking of you just a few days ago - you were one of the first three or four people I chatted with here. (Wonder what this trip down memory lane means?!) How are you?

Thanks for the heads-up!

Hi!

Maybe I need to compare. With a 50 per cent failure rate on my Options ( I only bought a few to test) I am interested to see what addi offers!

Yes, we will definitely have the Addi Click needles. They will be listed on the `What`s New` page when they arrive.

Also, we have the Addi 2.25mm and 2.75mm needles coming in soon, they will be added to the existing Addi listings (Turbo and Lace), so look for them there in the next couple of weeks.

Bets,I loved my options but losing 4 lace projects due to breakage of the cord has made me fearful of using them. I asked KnitPicks if they were considering this a design flaw and working on changing it and I was told no. Even I know that glue doesn`t work well on 2 totally different materials (plastic and metal). I`ve preordered the addi`s and will let you know what I think of them. Congrats on the new house. Are you all moved in now?

Funny is right Marta, I was thinking about you and your DH just the other day.I hope that he is in good health. MY DBIL is battling pancreatic cancer for over a year and he has been doing pretty good. I am once again a widow. David returned to the Balkans about 2 months ago, but I`m doing fine.

Hi! Is David off on another adventure? I did a little snooping around, and I think these are expensive because of the exchange rate, I am interested to see how much they are here! I want to see these before I commit, because I am a big cheap chicken!

No, I am moving at the rate of 2 armloads a day!

Hi Patricia, nice to hear from you!

That is interesting that Addi is doing the interchangable needle thing. My current Addi`s are collecting dust due to my new favorites, the Bryspun flexible circulars. Though someday I`m going to get the 40" Addi circular for a shawl pattern that requires about 800 stitches to cast-on, also I may try the 2-socks at a time knitting with it.

Patricia,

Its good to hear from you. Thanks for the heads up about the needles. I went to the site and was a bit dissapointed. I was hoping for better pics on how they work and and how they join. Also it doesnt say how many cords you get it just says the sizes.

Sorry to hear about your DBIL. My best wishes and prayers. My DH has been healthy, thank God. A long recovery followed those brutal treatments, but I can have no complaints; they worked!
Hope David`s new adventure is short this time. I am sure he is doing a job for which we all must be thankful. Now... is the upside that it leaves you with more knitting time? What are you up to?

I am sure they will be better constructed than the Knit Picks but the points are too blunt for me. Maybe they`ll do a set with the lace tips.

Amy, I agree. I really love the KP tips. The addi`s are just too dull now.

Me too, I love those Knit Picks, they are cheap, they are smooth, the cables are flexible, I love being able to take the tip off the cable and use it as a stitch holder, I love being able to carry the whole set easily, with extra cables when I am swatching (cough, cough). I bought a bunch of Addis a few years ago, but now I hardly ever use them, partly because they are so expensive.

It says it includes 3 cords

20"
32"
40"

and one connector.

Not seeing any of the end buttons that a Denise needle set has (or any equivalent), either.
