Les, I used only 11 balls of sierra, 41 inches around and 23 inches long with size 8 needles. Front and back are 92 stitches each. The collar, I studied the "big book of knitting". I did frog the collar once. But in general, this pattern is not that complicated. Shui Kuen

I hope that I am not a machine. I just knit steady. I also try not to knit too many things at the same time. I prefer to have two finished one than 4 unfinished. Shui Kuen

Thank you Cheryl. I do live in a very quiet place. The only noise is the waterfalls and running creek. I have my gardens all along the creek, up the hill and down the hill. Summer, gardening is first and knitting is second. Winter will be my real knitting time. Shui Kuen

Bea, I admire you have a large body of knitting knowlege. Eventhough I don`t follow exact knitting instructions for my sweater. I do read a lot of knitting reference books. So I can use it here there on my knitting piece. Shui Kuen

I will not wear it directly on my skin. I always have a shirt or turtle neck underneath. Shi Kuen

Bets: My dk is about the same color of mohair. I don`t look at mirror too often but while knitting, a measuring tape is a must. You do a very good jobs also. Please show your entire silk sweater. I am looking forward to see it. Shui Kuen

Thank you Heather. Your spinning yarns are beautiful. It must be an art to be able to do that. Shui Kuen

Thank you in return. I`m not sure if my spinning would be considered an art fom, just yet, lol. But it is so soothing. Heather

Shui Kuen,
I`m wondering if you managed to finish your moebius and if so what do you think of the way it is constructed and do you like it?
also did you start on the stained glass sweater? I`m soooo jealous. I"m sure that i`m gonna be very sick of socks and moebius`s by the time christmas comes around!

Libby: I finished the moebius a week ago. It is 32 inches long and 10 1/2 inches wide. It fits on my head very well. I used less than 2 balls of alpaca. I like it very much. Because of the japanese lace, like a net, very wafflely, will keep me warm. I have not started my stained glass. I swatched the colors I wanted to use. The teal and indigo are too close of the color. I am waiting for my cactus to come. I will replace teal with cactus. I can wait for you, after the Xmas. I have a lot of projects I can do right now. Shui Kuen

Your shawl looks great, and I bet it feels like heaven in pure alpaca...I was considering knitting a second one but I think I will be going for the one figured in Pam Allen Scarf style (which is knitted from the bottom up instead). Again great shawl !

Your flower basket shawl looks lovely... that stitch is really pretty. I wish we could see a picture of the whole thing being worn by somebody, too... (is your DH ready to model???) Did you ever figure out why you couldn`t submit your photos? Was the file size too large, perhaps? I hope you get that figured out, I love seeing your pictures here!

Thank you MacChick. I can`t make the file smaller. The only way is emailing, it will ask me whether I want to send it in small file. I will say yes. Then the file will be 10x smaller. I did take a picture of entire shawl. Haven`t deleveloped the film. We don`t have a digital camera. Nice to hear from you. Shui Kuen
