Yipes. I started the Entrelac coat, and forsee several weeks of "WHY did I start this thing" in my near future. I hate the uncertainty of "Did I order enough yarn to DO this?" and I am having doubts right this minute.

Who`s knitting what? Anyone doing Christmas gifts?

I`m doing a little swatching and finishing a baby sweater. I saw the intended baby last week, a small reminder from the yarniverse to finish it! After that, not sure what`s next. No holiday projects this year as of yet, but it`s early...

I am working on scarves for the employess of my breakfast spot, and I have to do a coat for my sister, I have some sample knitting to do, and I always have a washcloth going since I can easily KIP with them or the scarves. I have one shawl but am gathering many more in my pile of to do lists. I also jut got told my nieces all want leggings, fingerless mitts, hats with earflaps and scarves to match for Christmas, I have 5 nieces, the request came from the oldest 4. OH I also have to do ISE5.

I want to buy yarn but am enforcing no purchasing until Rhinebeck and all the online stores know this is Stitches weekend and Rhinebeck next weekend so they are having the most too die for sales. I better go take a Xanax and calm down!!!

More important is what is off my needles. The you know what is soaking away. Thank heaven
I have hit a sort of knitting blah. I did that big Afghan for Afghan rush knitting. Poor Grace`s sock is sitting next to my chair.
I need a kick in my knitting mojo.
I would love to knit a hoodie for me. I wear my cheap o Wally world one all winter. But the thought of yards and yards so SS leaves me glassy eyed.

Oh-I finished a youknowwhat AND a thing under a bowl. You know, I did one thing in basket weave, and found I REALLY like that stitch. Maybe I should explore easy stitches, and cool it on the complex.

I am a little more than half-way thru Bebenhausen Windows from Best of Knitters: Arans & Celtics. Here`s a pic:

This is use of a stash yarn, HW Chunky in spiced wine.
I am liking this yarn a lot, it`s pleasantly woolly yet soft and knits up fast. The construction of the sweater is to my liking too...in the round up to the armholes, then back and forth for the yoke. I did drop down to US sz 7 needle from US sz 9 since I found my gauge going looser once I started knitting in rows, maybe the change in stitch pattern had something to do with it too, and a little more firmness in the armhole area is probably a good thing anyway. Bets, I`m hoping I have enough yarn too. Just finished 9 balls and I have 6 balls left to do front yoke and sleeves, it`s gonna be close!

Now trying to stay away from the Pakucho, new darker green, maybe I can wear that :-).

Just started the socks for Christmas for the children, their partners, housemates, etc. Don`t know how many I`ll get done. DD has three housemates who will all decide that they are `needy`. One is Jay whom some of you have met (he and DD cooked for the June retreat in 2003) and he is very vocal on the subject of handknit socks.
Also, I bought a kit for a jacket at Colinette, so I just had to start it. Chenille and ribbon knit in mitred squares and panels.

I`ve got a you-know-what in progress, sample knit to cast on, and my red Cuzco is on its way - should be here today. I will knit two scarves for Thom and a friend from the Buffalo yarn which is incredible! I`m almost afraid to touch it with a needle. I need some hand-holding to get my nerve up. ;-} I have some other things I will knit for all my girls for Christmas but they`re fast knitting. The problem is that my family, especially DGS and DSIL ask for knitted things for Christmas and I can`t let them down. After all, they actually WANT to wear my knitting!

I`m finishing a wisp (elann cash tweed,) a Pamir vest and starting the first of the Christmas knits. If successful, I will be knitting a few of those "lace rib vests with swing shaping" out of mr. Joe montepulciano and bag mohair.

Bets, I thought you ordered a boatload of Kauni.

a quick & easy scrap yarn pillow...that`s taking way too long. Christmas: a hat (done) and scarf (on needles) for one daughter, then starting socks for a son.

Thanks, Bets! It`s the perfect project for me now...not too much concentration, but enough interest (e.g., figuring how far to take pattern at armhole edge)and to keep me from falling asleep.

Thanks, Shui Kuen! This is fortunately going to be a looser fit than B&B I won`t have to worry about a few extra pounds around the holidays :-).

Thanks, Kelly! I just started loading my pictures on to flickr last week after getting my Ravelry invite. Flickr and ravelry are so easy to use, you`re going to love it when you get your invite.
What`s the wisp, and the "lace rib vest with the swing shape" (is that the Juliet)? I too have some Mr. Joe and mohair in my stash :-).

My Former Tangled Yoke Cardigan. Thank heaven I began with the sleeves. Even though I knit a gauge swatch, well into the sleeves I discovered that I was getting 7 stitches to the inch instead of 6. Fortunately, I had not begun the body so instead of recalculating the pattern to make it fit, I got out my trusty Ann Budd and am making a Seamless Yoke cardigan.

And the weather is finally cool enough to wear a sweater and socks!
