On the needles or actually seeing needle action? Three socks, one actually the second of a pair from yarn I dyed for DD#2 before Christmas, a pink/blue mohair scarf from last year`s Sublime in a pattern from Lavish Lace, I think Amy spurred me to get that started. I may just never finish it and keep it next to the computer to remind me every time mohair comes up that no matter how beautiful it is I REALLY don`t like knitting with it. Lime green splotchy ballet wrap top down for guess who, which had two hours of piano recital knitting ripped out last night because it was "too loose" on little sticky arms. This, I actually am enjoying knitting, so I don`t mind. Wisteria mohair top down, I think I`m going to be ok on the yarn. Crock-pot-dyed variegated Queenlsand DK scarf, which I love, but hasn`t seen much action since being cast on. LOTS of WIM.

Daryl, an elannite I met last week gave me a lovely idea for mohair. It`s not my fave to knit by itself either.
She said she combines one strand of a light mohair with one strand of a shiny DK weight cotton yarn to make beautiful scarves. I would not have thought to combine those two, but she said the slippery sheen cotton and mohair worked beautifully together. I might have to try it sometime.

Blue Sky Alpaca Cropped Cardi. I`m working on the bottom ribbing (top down raglan pattern), and I may get one sleeve done today. Just added the 4th skein of Elann`s Super Tweed. I love how the fabric looks, not quite smooth stockinette, and the color (Victorian Blue) is going to be so versatile.

I`m plodding along too on my top-down cardi after ripping back from the too long raglan diagonal. Good news though, I tried it on after splitting the sleeves off, and it fits! The diagonal only measures 8", but the sweater neckline is sitting about 2" below my normal neckline, so that`s why the 8" is sufficient. Must be those 8 YO increases at the top of the neckline really opened it, either that or I didn`t measure my neckline and/or the gauge well. It`s OK though, I`m liking the inadvertent style change!

Another clementine, a Blue Sky Alpaca bulky scarf (delish), and about to be a Victoriana Top or Cardi. I am truly crazy for all these WIPs and WIMs. If you saw the state my term paper was in, you`d understand why!!

Mmmmmm...Blue Sky Bulky...mmmm...
How are you knitting that, Bri? I have some BSA Bulky, and haven`t figured out how to scarf it. I could do straight SS. Are you doing something interesting?

Lady E (still). I`m on ball 10 of 14 (making it wider than the original). It`s been resting for a bit, I`ll probably pick it up again on the weekend.
A Lily Chin sweater (see: http://wool-tyme.com/wt_int/item24k-t001.html). It`s one of those not really written well patterns, but because it`s a pretty basic sweater the errors haven`t been too hard to spot. I`m using Schachenmayr Baros in Ebony and have been too lazy to post anything about it on my blog. What can you say about a basic black sweater that hasn`t already been said? It`s for my still at home daughter, so when it`s done we`ll do a little photo shoot and I`ll post a pic or two.
Oh, and I swatched for a couple of future projects, nothing much to say about those yet.
And off the needles instead of on are the sleeves for a sweater I had blogged about earlier for my youngest daughter. We aren`t feeling the love so I am reworking the sleeves to fit her a little better. If the yarn doesn`t disintegrate first, in which case there will be some issues.
That`s about it. The rain around here just isn`t inpiring me to do much more.

I`ve been scooting around, checking out the blogs-Trish did a groovy purse, T and Joan are shawling away, Lib`s been kicking it on her baby blanket AND left instructions for her stole. I picture Benne laying out all her yarn scraps for the birds to use in their nests, working on her Wren, and listening to the ducklings. I envision Shui Kuen patiently charting out a new surprise...am I right?
I`ve been patiently Wrenning away (LOVE the HSilk), and have promised myself a big fat prezzie as a carrot/motivational tool for getting my stupid taxes done. I ordered the Licorice Allsorts Sonata and that Heart JOMR top pattern.
What`s on the needles, what has your attention, what are you obsessing over?

Swallowtail, but I`ve spent more time tinking than knitting. I just do not have the mind for lace! I am determined to see this shawl to the end though. And then I have a nicely mindless KP&S v-neck cardigan - almost finished with the body. I`m still between temp jobs so have lots of time to knit but Monday I swear I am going to do my taxes before I pick up a needle. Guess I had better. It is ridiculous, I`m even getting money back. Very little knitting here the last couple of days. I`ve been swatching - again! - for Wren. I`m beginning to wonder if I`m meant to make Wren. Sigh.

The only reason mine are done is because after one too many donuts at the Flushing post office on the evening of the 15th (OK, around 11:45 pm) we got someone to do them for us.
I just finished a sock for baby son. One sock. I am in this Hogwarts sock swap and I am trying various things - this is the worsted version of the Horcrux socks, made very small with HW. I have to get a piece of cardboard and make a little sock blocker to photo it on - the angles I could get when he wasn`t moving were not very clear...anyway, I have decided that while these are perfectly nice socks, they are not fancy enough if I am goning to use solids, so not these - and #1 son does not want a pair because he really only ever wants color patterns anyway, and besides that, he told me years ago lace socks make no sense - how can they keep you warm with those holes? So I showed him the sock on the baby, but he was totally underwhelmed.
Wren is right where she was more or less a week ago. The Luna shawl is sort of coming along a bit. And my mind is full of socks.
OOOH - and the other little goodies to put in the package. Isn`t it FUN making up little goodie bags of things you can actually understand someone getting and enjoying, as opposed to all the times you dutifully buy people things you`d gag if you had to unwrap yourself, and hope they will return the favor? You will have to vote on stitch markers later this week...

Got my stupid taxes done too, just need to stand in line at the post office tomorrow. I only need to pick up and knit a button band for my Onlinie cardigan, and sew some buttons on for it to be done. Then I want to reward myself with big needle knitting (US 13`s) which I`ve not done before. I have 10 balls of Vibe in a purplish blue that I`m seeing as a cropped zip-up jacket, swatching this yarn sure has been fun!

I`ve made actual progress on a mystery project and might get another baby sweater, which just needs a sleeve, its collar, and buttons, done before the shower (for a change). Clementine #2 is also growing on the needles. It`ll be exciting to gift that one when the time comes.
Wren may be next after that. Or I may decide on something totally different. I`m going with the flow! Bri

Cate, The Noro Sakura is a very forgiving yarn for the swallowtail. There are times I should have tinked but plunged ahead correcting my error as it becomes evident on the next knitted row. The yarn is so color rich and textured I think it will hide the little mistakes along the way. And this will be a good sized wrap. I am on ball 5 (147yds a ball) with about 4 rows left in the last chart. It goes quick, stick with it.

Finished sewing in the zipper of my Ribby Cardi. (hey, what happened to the KAL?) I love it. Used Sisik in cranberry red. Have the sleeves to finish on the Marilyn cardi (Knit and Tonic) for DD#1 and have knit a Horcrux sock with some Step yarn and it is a pretty tight fit! Have no clue why it is so tight - must be my tension as I have knit socks with the same weight yarn on the same darned needles with the same number of sts and they are fine! Will probably frog it!! It really isn`t the right yarn for the sock anyway. It`s greys and white in wide stripes. Blahh! Les

That`s strange, Les - somewhere I saw it mentioned that they fit loosely - probably because of the lace.
I made a little one for the baby - the picture should be up as soon, pretty much, as I find a piece of white cardboard to cut a sock blocker from...no, I don`t have a lot of white boxes around...clearly an eror on my part! Must. Buy. More. Yarn. Need. Cardboard.
T, laughing maniacly...

I`m nearly finished with a shawl (forget the name) in Sea Silk. There is a nautical spider in the center of the ball that keeps spinning as quickly as I knit. I don`t think I`ll ever be done. I`ve finished one plain baby sock and cast on the second.
Miss M picked out coordinating pink sock yarn (one skein Dk and Light stripe, one skein pink and orange varigated) for a pair so I`d better get busy. Her feet seem to grow faster than I can finish a pair.
