I`ve been out of town for a couple days and just now saw the picture of Marge and your message. I`m thinking of you both in this difficult time.

Hi, SK. All quiet on the knitting front today. I`m on the 10th repeat. I hope to get to knit tonight and really make progress.

Well, I don`t think he will. He`s gifted though. I do expect felted acrylic out of him SOME day...

I suspect your DH could felt the van at the car wash if the water was hot enough and had an agitator. ;-} But hey, he DOES laundry! I couldn`t remember what colors you were looking for but I seemed to remember...

No mice, bets. They have undoubtedly heard of the mouse-i-cide at ML`s house and are punishing me!

Benne, LMAO!!! I am now picturing a slightly smaller and fuzzier van... He will have trouble getting in and driving it... LOL!

I was so sorry to hear about your recent hospitalisation - just like you not to broadcast it! I hope that you`re feeling much better and are getting back to your old self!

Eileen.

Hi Eileen! You`ve got a lot going on at your house! It sounds like your new apartment will be great for two wee mites, not to mention you and C and the kitties. Not long to go now before you have another little one in the house, so exciting and wonderful for all of you. :-}

Thanks for the get well wishes, I`ll be back to normal in a few weeks (my old grumpy self}, I hope.

Sure, Grace! Are you feeling better and knitting a Wool Peddler`s? What yarn and color? I just love that pattern.

The correction is:
Under the Shawl section, after row 5, it says to continue as above...every other row until 113 rows have been worked. It should read 111 rows.

Hey you guys, I don`t want to stir the pot but I think that the book says 111 rows but you need 113 rows to get the stitch count rather than the other way.

To tell you the truth, Les, I`ve made two of these shawls and I don`t remember how many rows I knitted. Pitiful, isn`t it? ;-) I didn`t have the correction when I made mine, I just counted stitches. My book says 113 rows but I`ve had it a long time.

I just doublechecked the correction at Interweave Press and here`s what it says:

Continue as above, making yarnovers after first st, before last st, and on each side of the center st every other row until 111 rows have been worked from beginning and ending on RS—231 sts on needle.

That`s weird, I don`t know why they would issue a correction for an already correct pattern. But there`s a lot I don`t understand about some pattern publishers. ;-)

I don`t know, my shawls came out fine, I don`t know what I did except I know I counted stitches. I hope this hasn`t confused everyone. :-)

Benne, what a year! But with so many prayers, good wishes and love, you`ll have no choice but to be OK! Hang in there!

Thanks Marta and Suzann and everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I figure between all of you and the best doc on the planet for this, I`m in good shape. And those praying grannies are big medicine. :)

I hope you recovered from the game, curled up on the couch with hot beverages and good knitting. We watched and pulled as hard as we could for the Titans.
