Beautiful knit-around. How do you like this material?

I liked the yarn a lot for an occasional sweater. The texture of the yarn was nice and it behaved nicely even though it`s bulky. The thick and thin yarns are not my favorite to work with but they make a dashing effect. My most favorite yarns are those smooth, soft wools that feel like butter in your fingers as you knit.

Hi Shui Kuen,

Thom built a lot of boxes and he put one back at the barn. The bluebirds immediately moved in and laid eggs. We knew the babies had hatched and were about a week old. Thom was working in the barn shop and noticed that the mother was not coming and going to feed the babies and the male was very distressed but not feeding the babies. They still did not have many feathers and needed to be brooded because it was a wet, cold spell (mide 40`s). We took the babies out of the box. There were five, one was dead. The were soaking wet and very cold. We held the babies in front of the heater and tried to dry them and warm them. All four survived and we started trying to figure out what to feed them. I checked my books and came up with ground round and raw eggs. I put it on a toothpick and fed them this until I could get mealworms to feed too. I lost one more a day or two later but three survived to fly off on their own to be real bluebirds. This process took several weeks.

Oh yes, I love caterpillars, after all, they are sometimes homely, humble creatures who turn into beautiful,winged beings. There may be hope for all of us after all. :-}

Hi Shui Kuen,

I love your hummer sweater idea. The green should be slightly to the yellow side of emerald I think. You know the perfect color will be one of those 98 colors. 98! I am so thrilled with the possiblities. Woulnd`t it be great if we have our color cards Ann is ordering before the yarn is offered and we can find the perfect colors with it! Oh, this is exciting!

Benne: I got your little package. There is a piece of green leaf in the package, before I open it, I can smell it so beautiful. Is that lavender or indian sage? The yellow butter is so yummy. There also a sachet, do you make it? Thank you.I will write you later.

Hi Shui Kuen,

Don`t you love the Highland Wool? The butter is a lovely color. The little green sprig is a piece of lavender from my yard. I didn`t make the sachet but I thought you would like it.

Shui Kuen,

I`ll bet you were on pins and needles until you got home. I got up at the crack of dawn so I wouldn`t miss it. I ordered raspberry, eggplant, indigo and bisque (for a casual cables cardigan for DMIL).
What a month is right! Now if I can get some of the Berroco, bliss! I used a 50 dollar voucher today on the alpaca. I have been eying the sapphire. We`re on an alpaca diet. lol

Oh you lucky people, makes my 18 balls look mean!
I may have to buy a lot more to get the $50 voucher.
I guess that would make sense to a knitter! LOL

Susan,

Buying enough yarn for the $50 discount is extremely logical to a knitter, just don`t try and explain it to DH`s. lol

I`m eavesdropping again... lol. I bought the granite and I think I`m going to use it for the neck down jacket by knitting pure and simple.

Peace,

Jean,

You can always knit along with us on your jacket. But if I know you, Miss Speedy Knitter, you`ll be wearing yours while I`m still working on Christmas pressies. lol
