I l9oved my Cozy. Did have to frog a bunch if I got distracted and definitely needed a row counter, but finally got the hang of it. I think it will be very handy this winter.

This morning I decided that I would start one in my Katia Alba - hot pink. I am already up to the 6th round of increases and it looks pretty cool so far. I have noticed that the PFB edge looks different from the KFB edge so I think I will end up making a crochet edge when I am done, if I don`t like the way it finishes. Also, my YO on one side has left a larger hole than on the other side but I think it will work out once I drop stitches.
In looking it over, I think the twisted stitches would also make for a cool rib pattern - a nice wave in the fabric.

I used a mercerized cotton (Schaefer`s Laurel) for my Clapotis, so I`m sure Sonata would be lovely. I don`t know about how Luna would do (and right now the color selection is a bit limited), but it`s a wonderfully silky yarn and would be elegant. I made my Clapotis 2/3 size, since I had only one 400-yard skein. There`s also a pattern somewhere on the `Net that gives directions for a scarf-sized Clapotis.

I would go with something that will keep your interest. It is a long knit.

Leslie, try the following links, which have details and show pictures of various Clapotis. I have had this on my list, but don`t know if I will ever make one:

I second Amy`s advice. I`ve heard that it is a loooong knit but wonderful to have afterward.
Go for a yarn that will be a pleasure to knit.

I made mine out of Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool. Just about when you`re starting to get bored, the fun begins! Here`s the website that prompted me to do a clapotis:

I made 2 - both with fingering weight yarn. The first was Baby Cashmere and the second was the Filatura de Crosa Diwa - both yarns purchased here at Elann. I kept the Baby Cashmere one for me and wear it ALOT. It is lightweight but warm. It is a great wrap to own or give as a gift.

I made one with Baby Silk and then added a few repeats to get it long enough. It was beautiful! I have seen them in a variety of yarns and I think that it looks great in just about anything.

Mine is made from a recycled thrift store sweater that I unraveled and hand dyed. The yarn is a DK weight rayon ribbon. VERY drapey!
