Ribby Cardi KAL? Oh, yeah. I have all the pieces done and the body sewn together but I seem (`scuse the pun) to have stalled out at that point. I think Jayne is nearly done, too. Guess I`d better get the sleeves in so I can try it on and measure for the zipper.

No way, nuh uh. I have the back done and one sleeve. C`est tout! But sure (she said in an insincere voice), I`ll knit along!

Actually I do plan to finish that one, relatively soon.

Love the color of your Ribby Cardi, dang it, wish I could wear red. I`m sort of an orangey redhead and red looks horrible on me, but I love the color! You did an awesome job, and I wish someone could figure out how we could touch and feel all of these marvelous yarns via the web....LOL

Well, I have my second Bird House bag in the washing machine as we speak felting. The first one I am needle felting today so that I can give it to my sister for her birthday this Wednesday.

My daughter`s birthday is in late June and I am making her either

Lacy Little Top
http://www.kpixie.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=804

or

Pleated Skirt
http://www.kpixie.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1977

or both if I have time.
I just went to my LYS Saturday to purchase my size 2 and 3 Addi Turbo`s that I need to make these. I just have to find the perfect yarn now.

She lives in Florida so I want an airy light weight yarn. Any suggestions?

I also hope I am not biting off too big of a knitting piece as I am still so new to knitting. I have looked over the patterns and they seem easy enough, so we`ll see...LOL
I will let you all know how I am doing...ok off to check that felting... :)

Connie, I have that pattern for Lacy Little Top in my pattern binder. I think it`s very pretty. Haven`t knitted it yet, of course.

I`m working the decreases up the neck edge on the second front of the Wren. Back`s done. I`m really watching the yarn, but if 3 balls will do the sleeves I should be fine.

Then I have that Zodiac! DS did my taxes whilst he was here on Easter Weekend. The Zodiac was my reward. No matter how well I think I have done putting receipts into envelopes by categories AND keeping a ledger, he always wants more - spreadsheets this time! I have to sit and nod humbly and agree with what he says, so that he`ll keep working on them. Some of the receipts for meals for the house-searching trip in Wales in October were written on little squares of newsprint about the size of a post-it. He was not impressed - get asking for awkward things like date, location, and restaurant name.

Just this morning I ravelled out nearly an entire ball of knitting on a shawl I love (and can actually understand the pattern for) from Cheryl Oberle`s Folk Shawls. I didn`t like the color. Does anyone want five 230-yard balls of fingering-weight coral yarn? I am on color 3 the second time through on the Adara shawl and loving the result. I`m using two balls of Oberle`s hand-dyed yarn (yummy wool/mohair in blues and purple) to make another Oberle shawl. I`m at the bottom, slow part, where the excitement happens. Haven`t touched the Fassett coat in weeks. It can wait until this shawl mania dissipates. This afternoon I swatched my white cotton for a shawl in Vogue`s Shawl book, which I`ll begin as soon as the Adara is done. And I have the yarn assembled and the pattern written and sequence decided on for a scrap shawl which will be very easy, making it as a recess project from the very slow lace on the Oberle shawl. You are all to blame for this shawl obsession, you know.

As soon as I get a few things done, I am planting myself on the couch with the knitting bags and hoping to have some FOs to share soon. I`ve got a child`s placket sweater done to the decreases in the yoke and a Sirdar baby sweater minus one sleeve. I will have a complete baby sweater by the end of the weekend.

I`m thinking of Benne with whom I will be watching the NFL draft in spirit with, Amy QOY who`s dip I`m heating up as I type, and hoping everyone else has a great spring day, knitting or not.

Hmmm. Active work includes CeCe from Chicknits, Heartland Shawl from Oberle Folk Shawls (using a combination of Super Kydd and Baby Silk) and a baby blanket using Sonata. The blanket is my take along knitting while the other 2 are my solitary projects.

Hi Bri,

Wren is on the needles, Swallowtail is still on the needles ARGGHH!, and SK`s Luna Moth is cast on getting ready for the KAL. This time Wren is cooking right along. Sure makes a big difference finding the yarn in my stash that wanted to be a Wren. Amy was right, you need to love the yarn for the project. It`s good Mama Duck in Waiting knitting. ;-}

Oh, yeah, not on the needles, but my baby duck eggs are hatching! Twnety-one are pipping and peeping. It`s going to be a busy day. The four little babies have been left by Mama Duck, so I guess I`m it. Just hoping those Titans get some help. We`ve got some issues. ;-}

Wren...sock...sock...Moonlight Sonata...hat...

Sorry Benne, for some reason, I saw Amy on your post. You have no idea how weird it gets in my head sometimes.

Doug and I were watching the Sopranos the other day, and I "lost" the last ten minutes of the episode. I wasn`t even knitting. I was watching. Well lights on, nobody home. I blanked out or something. Sigh...

Lots on needles (of course), but only two *actively* in progress, both scarves, one cable, one lace.

Still trying to figure out what yarn to use for the shawl KAL. At least I have a better idea of my yarn inventory after Lisa asked me what I had.

One baby sweater and hat combo just in need of trim row and weaving. Another baby sweater. Horcrux socks. Teaching socks - worsted, short leg - ready for toes. Luna Moth is into the 2nd repeat of the 2nd section.

I updated my WIP list on Wednesday - it`s shamefully long. My poor Dayflower Shawl is getting dusty, it`s been sitting so long. Oh, hey! Maybe I should work on that???

Let`s not talk about shamefully long -- mine is dreadful. :)

Planning to finish my KP&S vneck cardigan before the Shawl KAL begins. Just have a sleeve and a half plus button bands to go. Today I am going to explore my stash looking for Baby Silk or Baby Cash for the Moonlight Sonata. I know I have a UFO I could frog for the yarn but would rather not if I have intact skeins.

Finished my Swallowtail yesterday after running out of yarn just inches from completing the bind off. Eeek. I frogged back and left out the final knit row. Going to Lowes to buy some of that blue foam insulation so I have a large enough blocking surface.

Our sheet of insulation has just a blue film on one side and all sorts of printing about uses, content, advertising, etc on the other. The `foam` is really white, not blue. Just so you won`t be confused...

Bri,
Your day does sound fun, getting those nearly done FO`s completed and relaxing on the couch!

My Vibe sweater is in the Sonny & Cher primitive vest stage currently; with shoulders & side seams joined, that`s what it looks like on...oh, and with a few yarn tails hanging out too. Hopefully will achieve my ideal (right, ha!) when sleeves installed. It`s been rewarding working with big gauge yarn, can see results of trying out various things quickly. I can see making a few quick-knit sweaters in a row, and then I`ll have settled on what is the best way for me to do shoulder & neck shaping (e.g., work each side separately or simultaneously, put neckline stitches on holders or bind-off?) instead of re-deciding each time I make a sweater.
