Hi everyone! I have a question about the offering on Feb 21. I was going over the newsletter and noticed the yardage used for the projects. It strikes me that 10 balls of Excellent for the Excellent Jacket in medium or 9 for the other sweater isn`t that much. Is it these particular projects or something about the yarn? If I wanted to make something else with it, do you have any idea how much it would take?
Thanks, Bri

I always order 1 extra skein for swatching for gauge and trying out a new pattern stitch I am not familar with so that I do have enough to complete the project. I hope this helps

Bets, This yarn seems tricky to me in terms of buying. That`s why I wanted more info. The table did not quiet the voices for me! Bri

I looked on a few German sites, Bri-
The yarn shops seem to think it takes more than that-600 grams for a women`s 38/40 (about a US 10) http://www.die-stricknadel.de/index.html?schoeller___stahl.htm
This one requires 650 grams, but it`s for a turtleneck

Sometimes quantities get lost in translation.
My darling spouse just walked by, and asked me what I was doing-I replied "Answering Bri."
He asked "Is she a cheesehead?"
A regular chuckle factory, I`ll tell you. You have my permission to kick him if he`s ever in range.

Dear Bets, Your darling spouse has nothing on my father. When (notice I said when, not if) we ALL meet up in July, I`ll tell you all about it. Let`s just say, it was a really Cheezy Breezy childhood. LOL.
Thanks for thinking about the German sites and checking up on it for me. I started wondering if I just had lost my compass as to what that bulky of a yarn could make. I`m going to delve more deeply into it later today. The tort shade of the Excellent has me smitten, and my birthday is around the corner...

I got my sample skeins which you resent to me today.Thank you. I just wonder why the first set get lost. Is that possible at that time, I sent gifts to Bets and shipping address on my computer was Bets and not mine? SK

Hi SK, This is exactly what would have happened, because the subscriptions are always sent to the most recent shipping address on file in your account. Peter and I are currently working on programming so that you`ll soon be able to keep your own shipping address the same all the time, and choose to enter a "one time only" shipping address to send a gift - we`ll be offering this feature very soon.

Oh-----
I DID get a second set of skeins-addressed to "Betsy" and not Elizabeth! I was wondering what happened!
Shui Kuen, if I had known, I would have mailed them on to you!

Hi all, Until the new programming is in place (for one-time-only Shipping Address change), if you go back to "Your Account" immediately *after* sending a gift to a different address, then you can change your shipping address back to your own address and not have to worry about "remembering" to do it later.

I`ve become an elann alpaca junkie in the last 96 hours. Any idea when a restock might happen? Thanks, Bri PS. Also, very impressed that yarn I ordered Thursday was here by 10am this morning. You all rock.

I agree. Alpaca is great and I`ve been hoping for a re-stock too. Glad you asked! Bri, what caused you to get addicted? Are you making something with it?

Hi, Thanks so much for your nice remarks. You can rest assured that elann Pure Alpaca will be restocked, but it has a long way to travel and it is difficult to know when it will get here.
