It looks great! I ordered that pattern a while back but I haven`t even looked at it in detail. I know I`ve had a couple of updates from Bonne Marie; maybe they are due to your experience in working up the top. So, tell all: How was it to knit? Would you do it again, etc?

Thank you, CBM! The updates were to the 3/4 sleeve version, I believe. I didn`t have any problems with the short sleeve version. It was a snap to knit and I am definitely making another one. The Sonata was very nice to work with and it really shows off the lace pattern. I`d like to try Cece in another yarn too--don`t know which yet although I am tempted to make my mom a 3/4 sleeve one out of baby cashmere doubled. I really enjoyed this project--I have yet to have a problem with any of Bonne Marie`s patterns. What are you going to make yours out of?

Kellygirl,

Beautiful green lace and your knitting is lovely. I hope to make this in the 3/4 length for spring next year. What color will you make for yourself?

I`ll use the 3/4 sleeve version, and oh, there are so many possibilities for yarns. I`m just filling up my WIMs (works in mind) list until after my holiday projects are done! It`s good to know that the patterns are well-written.

Thank, Benne! I will be using coffee bean brown provided I can remember where I stashed it. What about you?

Kellygirl, I have some elann Luna in cream and green tea I`m considering and I have a stash of Sonata in various colors. Black would make a very versatile sweater. I really like your choices in green and the coffee bean brown. I also think it would be beautiful in the Highland Silk. I have Calypso green and a gorgeous red (can`t remember the name) ;-} that are candidates too. So many color and yarn choices. I`ll have to get my pattern out and peruse the stash. That could take days. ;-}

ooooh--the highland silk--that`s a great thought. I hadn`t even considered that one. I like the Luna too. Both would make a very elegant Cece. Happy stash diving!

Kelly,
I`m so glad you posted your lovely CeCe! Like probably many others, I bought the pattern a couple months ago, back when I was contemplating summer projects. I`ve had in mind various stashed yarns for it: SWT Beyond (though I don`t know how the pebbly texture would work), Jo Sharp Soho Summer, Optimum DK...now I`m thinking about Paton`s Brilliant for a sparkly holiday cardigan. I think I`ll need to do a lot of test swatching!

Thanks, again! Sounds like a lot of us bought the pattern--glad that I posted. I don`t have any of your prospective yarns but I bet that Brilliant would make a great holiday cardi! BTW, I have to tell you that your luna leaf lace shawl is stunning. You do beautiful lace!

kellygirl,
I like your sweater better than the one on chicknits. I`ll bet you streakers looks better than the one in IWK now too!
