I`m an ADD knitter -- got WAY too many projects on the go at once. But my faves right now: an afghan (Square Windows Throw from Knit It!). Four squares done...sixteen to go. On the needles today (and determined to get off the needles today) my first attempt at a sock in DK weight (Regia crazy colour Fiesta). Actually it`s turning out well -- the Classic Beginnings Socks for the Family is a great recipe for socks in all guages. My daughter is demanding a pair next.

I`ve actually had some knitting time in the car when I take the dogs for their ride while showing the house. I am working on the Vintage Pink Cardigan. I also have a Balloon Scarf going but the chart is too complicated to work on in the car. I need to start on sock No. 2 one of these days. I also need to start on a baby sweater but I haven`t had time between cleaning up the house and running out every couple of hours.

I`ve bitten off more than I can chew. I too, suffer from project ADD, especially lately. I`m like some dew-drunk bee flitting around (oo-oo-h, pretty colours...) I have two second socks on the needles and one neglected, a cute little cotton/wool tee, a Cardi to cast on for a KAL and a Project Spectrum KAL parcel calling to me as I type. I`ve been trying hard to knit and not Blog or Chat but I had to catch up with the "knitting buzz".

YeeHaaaaa!!! First sock off needles and on my foot!! Mmmmmm...comfy...Now I think I`ll get the next one cast on right away, so this one does not become an orphelan.
I can totally relate to the drunk bee, Karin -- currently on various sizes of needles I have a shawl, a sleeves-only shrug, a scarf, and 3/4 of the back of a summer top. These on top of a lot of finished backs and sleeves of other things. Every now and then, I work at getting everything OFF of the needles and one or two things completely finished. But today, I`m going for the second sock.

a triangle shawl I am designing as I go, and the entralac scarf in Kureyon I started months ago, Just finished, the wool peddlar, the domovoi and 3 dulaan hats (total 11 hats now) this weekend will be more hats. Hopefully my sonata will arrive Monday and I will then play with a shoalwater type shawl.

Oh dear, the drunken bee is ruling in my house too. Still "working" on Mermaid, B&B,Kiri, Mukluks almost finished (recital TOMORROW, HAVE to be done) Connemara tank to armholes, Black mohair cardi sleeves for mindless knitting, joined an LYS knit along for Shetland Triangle shawl, and longing to cast on for teacher`s presents, cardi for graduation, and shawl for graduation. Willpower? HAH! Creativity is supposed to be a positive attribute..Daryl

I just came back from an impromptu run to the LYS. Like I needed any more...I`ve got a sirdar pattern kids sweater on the needles, the B&B, a sock, and things piling up in project piles by the bed. I did these wrist moves at yoga today and I am ready to see if that will help the knitting go faster. Bri

Still B&B, but I`ve gotten over the tough part and it should just be mindless knitting from now on! This past week I finished the neckband, picked up stitches around one armhole to knit sleeve from top down. I picked up stitches on the bind-off row of the armhole notch as I knit the sleeve cap (this method is from an old Threads article). Result is not very pretty...if I do this again may just do a regular seam. I mattressed stitched one side seam and that does not look very invisible either, I think it is just difficult with reverse stockinette. I`m glad my sleeve will be seamless, I`m doing it in the round so I`ll be avoiding the underarm seam. What with the lovely variegated Sonata coming out this week, I had to dig out my old samples from a couple years ago and try it out. I`m getting exactly 22st/4" on sz 6 needles, so I`m seeing a lot of potential for summer top patterns with this yarn!

Lots on needles, but the projects getting my attention include a second sock size 13, a first sock for a toddler and the lacy ends to a scarf done in kid silk haze, pattern from an older Knitters.

I am doing a sweater from VK summer 06 page 69. I am using Sonata instead of Provence and everything is working out beautifully. I love Sonata , it is my first project with this yarn and I love the crisp elegance of this yarn. When it is all done I will try to send a picture. Nicole

I am reworking the B&B. Finished it a couple of weeks ago, but found the style was not becoming to me. The dropped shoulders and crew neck was very boxy for me. I have ripped down to the underarms and the sleeves down to the last increase. I plan to reknit with set in sleeves and more of a scoop neck. I just finished up #6 from Spring Vogue knitting, used Silk City mercerized cotton, bought at Elann last year. Gail

Gail, you are a determined knitter to frog those cables...think I`d cry if I had to do that! My preview with the side seams basted was not the most flattering either. I do think a deeper neckline would look better for me as well, the distance between neck and bottom of bustline seems to be so long, gives me a flattened, saggy look and I`m not even well-endowed! I`m just going to have to remember "good posture" when wearing this sweater :-). On the plus side, this will be a very warm sweater for the coldest winter day, the cabled area is so dense! Sandra

Sandra, once I started to frog it, there was no turning back, even though I did have second thoughts about it. When I first thought about it I didn`t think I would have to frog the sleeves too, but then I realized that I would have to shape them. I hope that once I`m finished, it looks better and all this work is worth it! I didn`t cable the back, so I only have to redo cables in the front, from the armhole up. Gail
