Glad you put up your Bio, Evelyn. Isn`t that neat that you have your own bead artist at home. You can tell him just what you want for your bags - perfect!! Good luck with your open house. I`ll bet you`ll run out of bags!

Good luck with your bags and gallery. How great is that, you have a venue to sell your bags and an artistic DH too. Like you, I wish we were all closer together and could get together and stitch and visit. :-}

Good going, Billie! I knew you`d "get it"! Now we can put a pretty face to the name! Great bio and picture. Like you, many of us are isolated in one way or another - location, jobs etc. so that we are unable to do the group knitting thing and so get our social fix at the chat site! It`s great! I hope that having 2 new bios posted in so many days will inspire more to post their bios! It really helps me to have a face and some info to put to a name! Nag-nag-nag-nag-nag!!

Good to have a name with a face-as Les pointed out, a lot of us are isolated knitters, and a lot of us are knit returnees. You are in good company!

Hi Billie and Welcome!
It`s so nice to meet you! We`re almost, kinda, sorta, next-door neighbours (DH and I are currently in Fort McMurray), and we absolutely LOVE Jasper. DH visits the area much more frequently than I do (he`s into hiking/ice-climbing across the Columbia Icefiends with our 3 sons and his buddies in the summer months), but I also have great memories and funny tales of some of our visits to the area.
You have a LYS there??? Lucky you! There`s no such thing in my city....
Anyway, you`ll have fun here. It`s a great place to come for friendship, and it`s lifted my spirits more than once, especially after a crazy day at the office. :-)

Good to have you. Maybe you can join others in Alberta and come along to Salt Spring in October. I called Banff home for a time decades ago, living in a National Park town is very like living on an island. You need to come for a few days between October 21st and 29th. Talk to Les.
