Les, what a loving thing to do for your DD -- the bolero fits her so well, and looks so good on her. She would make a good model for lots of things -- beautiful girl!
I understand about the itchy fingers -- I am willing to knit cotton, but it`s not my fave. I so much prefer natural wools, alpaca, etc. Give yourself a treat with something scrumptious for the next while.

Everyone already said it but I`ll repeat. your daughter is just lovely in her gorgeous bolero! the fit is just perfect and for her to wear it on such a special occasion is just great!

Looking at the pic, it looks almost as if there is a lavender trim on the bolero. Well, there isn`t! It also looks like she has nothing on below the bolero tie. Well, she does! The dress has peach coloured lace inset there! LOL
I forgot to say that I did do a row of single crochet on the neckline with the silk city bounce and then some chain st to create a subtle bit of ruffle and flatten the edge.
