I`ll have to have some of the kydd too, SK. We have the same color picks. We usually do, don`t we? ;-} I was glad to send you the newsletter but now it`ll be a better picture for you to see the yarns. We`ll still have to have our yarn discussions every month. :-}

Benne: BB just ordered Victoria lace and Heirloom lace knitting for me. It will arrive before 22nd Dec. I will have something to read around Xmas.I want to order the artic lace also, but it said that will be ship in 3-6 week. I don`t want to hold up my other books. Will order separately. Your list of books are so long. It will take me a while to get them all. SK

I can`t wait to see what you make from those books, Shui Kuen. There`ve been so many positive things written about that book, I plan to ask Santa-hubby for it too!

Bets: ask! you will get it. I wanted that heirloom book for quite awhile but it is very expensive ($64 plus tax). BB kept telling me to get it. I got a lot of books on Benne`s book list but a lot missing, too. SK

I think it is in the Knitter`s Almanac, Bets, but I can`t find any of my several copies to confirm this. If you have it, give a look - it might be in the chapter with a few hats.
It is NOT in Knitting Without Tears. That I CAN find, and I just checked it.

Oh, look, a new red chapeau for ME! :-} Thank you, SK. I`ll be watching for it. Tony better not show up wearing it. HA! The weather here is warming up and sunny and Thom is home. I may be able to get some pictures today wearing my new pretties.

I finished the first repeat of nupp and on my second. I struggles at first. Now I actually enjoy working on it using Bets` crochet method. I think I will gain speed after each repeat. Where are you?

No knitting at all yesterday, SK. Thom and I sat on the front porch yesterday evening and talked and watched the birds and ducks. Today, I knit, will finish the first chart and decide if I am going to do another set of repeats for size. I tried the nupp stitch a few days ago and the purl 5 together. I managed them in practice, let`s hope I can do them on the shawl. :-}

Benne, for the purl 5 together, did you try: slip 4 stitches onto right hand needle, purl the next stitch, pass the 4 slipped stitches, one at a time, over the stitch just purled and off the needle. As long as I do them all the same way, the decreases look fine. I can keep a more even tension than with trying to move five stitches at once.

Thanks, Alice, I will try that if I run into trouble. When I tried the purl 5 together, I didn`t have trouble with it. Of course, that was on the practice piece. ;-} I really think it`s due to the new addi lace needles I`m using and that the hemp is a little wiry.
