SMK: I noticed that in knitty.com, the pink one has loops. So I crocheted some loops on. MY BS eggplant color one`s loops are smaller (the chain is shorter) and BC pink one the loops are bigger (the chain is longer). Shui Kuen

There`s a really nice edging/cast-off in this Lion Brand pattern. You could easily duplicate this on the cast-on edge.
I`ve used this pattern for several charity shawls; it is much nicer-looking than the picture on the LB website would make you think. I`ve done it in LB`s Jiffy and in Caron`s Simply Soft. Charity items need to be from acrylic, of course.
It would be lovely in HW or a cotton yarn. You wouldn`t get the same gauge - which I didn`t with the thinner-than-worsted Simply Soft - but I just kept adding patterns until it was the size I wanted. I also modified the pattern to make both wider and narrower pattern rows, just for variety. Here`s the URL http://freeknittingpatterns.lionbrand.com/patterns/khs-triangleShawl2.html

Shui Kuen-
They are absolutely beautiful-your work is picture perfect.
Are these for the "gift box" at your mother`s? So beautiful-I think there will be some fighting over the socks!

Wow! The Clapotis is fabulous!! And angora socks, ooh, yummy! I`ve made the Clapotis, and you have finished yours in truly record time. Did you enjoy making it? I had such fun with mine, in a variegated heavy mercerized cotton.

Yes to everything everyone said!
What gauge are those socks? I can`t figure out how you got a pair out of just two balls of that yarn... that`s only 91 yards per sock!
They are so perfect! I just have to make a pair for my Mom... she gets cold feet all winter, even in Florida.
Aw, here I go, thinking about climbing up onto the dag-gammed Angora ride with all the rest of you people! Dddrattt!
Just wanna go on record as saying I would rather be buying Pakucho or HW or Esprit or Mohair or Mirabelle or Alpaca or... a lot of things that are not Angora.... but these socks, on top of all the talk lately, are the last straw, and now I feel myself slipping over the edge into that dreadfully fluffy abyss that I swore to avoid...

Thank you Barbara: I think variegated yarn will be prettier. Did you post yours? I got a lot of sit and chat time while my friend was here. I can`t sit without yarn in my hand.I didn`t block my clapotis. Did you block yours? Shui Kuen

MacChick: this yarn is so thick. I use size 7 needles, and 40 sts. The leg is a little bit short, only 6 inches, and toe to heel is 9 inches. I know if I made the leg longer I will not have enough. I only got 2 balls of this color. It is supper warm. DH wants one also. Shui Kuen

MacChick: I forgot to say that yarn has 20% nylon. Strong for the socks. Shui Kuen
