Just wanted to let you guys know what`s happened since you`ve been delightful and so supportive of me and my PhD adventures. I interviewed at USF on Tuesday. It was wonderful, and they made an offer to me yesterday to start this fall in their PhD in Aging Studies. I`ve unofficially accepted, pending a thorough reading of paperwork yet to arrive, but I wanted to share with you as soon as I was sure about it!
Thanks for being so encouraging--Bri

Bri,
I`ve very happy that you had two terrific schools to choose from and YOU get the make the choice. Of course, there`s that, "Oh darn, I wish Bri were going to be in Lexington" but I know you and Charles love FLA and your sister will be close. This is wonderful news. Does this mean you can stop hoarding the empty elann boxes? lol Benne

Is that South Florida? Congratulations and best of luck. How long does the typical PhD take in that department?

Congrats! You need a big reward! When is Pakucho coming back??? You need an Einstein our of that! Well, actually, given the climate, maybe Sonata would be better... start embracing those bright magenta and yellow and turquoise "Florida" colors! Oh! And you will need a shawl out of the Baby Cashmere... there are some nice colors back in stock... a shawl out of that will tuck into your purse and be ready to come out looking elegant for those times when you have to be in that way-too-cold air conditioning they are so overly fond of down there...
Oh have fun!

You guys are great, I mean, gracious (I read Bets` post). I`ll be heading to the University of South Florida in Tampa for the fall. There`s a fuller description of things on my blog. Charles will apply for a transfer into that county. We`ll move this July. Probably on the hottest day of the year, too, when I`ll be hauling around lots of HW (so practical for FL as it is) and thinking of you all...Bri http://bg378.blogspot.com

A few weeks ago I asked for your prayers for my DDIL and the little fellow she was carrying. Well, the "little fellow" has arrived - a 20-inch, 7lb 15oz boy! DDIL is doing great, too. My computer access is spotty these days, but I`ll try to send a pic as soon as I have one.
Heartfelt thanks again for all the prayers, thoughts and support which helped this come to a happy end.
