Stunning!
What size needles did you use and what was your final gauge? Also, how wide are the front sides?
I have my Sock-it-to-Me yarn all collected for a pull over, but haven`t started swatching.

I used 3mm needles and my gauge was 30sts to 4". The front sides are 6 1/4" (without the front borders).
The photo doesn`t show them too well, but the buttons are ladybugs.
I really enjoyed knitting this! I`m making another one now in the "Springtime" colour with a solid light green back. I`m doing this one with ribbing at the bottom, fronts and neck and I think I`m going to put in a heart at the back instead of the rectangular "patch".

Thanks! I was going to start swatching with a size 3 --3.25mm.
I didn`t see they are ladybugs, I was too busy admiring your perfectly aligned stripes on the fronts and sleeves.

Ghislaine,
Very cool! I love the grey trim and ladybug buttons. Such a nicely knitted and finished sweater and color choices. Your sweater inspires me. I have the calendar for the pattern and "someone" we know is expecting a baby soon, so this would be a good project. :-} Thanks for sharing your creation with us. Benne

Ghislane, I LOVE this-good use of materials, excellent planning-AND it`s a good all around look for either gender (ok, the buttons may be a little girly, but you know what I mean!) Very fresh looking, which is something I admire!
I have to go hunt down my calendar now-

Ghislaine: what a cute sweater. How many balls of sock yarn you use? I can`t find any of this calendar on sale on the web, where did you get that? Shui Kuen

I used 4 balls of yarn - 2 full balls of the stripes and 1 and 1/4 balls of the solid. I had ordered the calendar from calendars.com in December because it was all sold out in the stores here. Amazon.com still has some - do a search for "Knitting Pattern a Day".
