For she`s a jolly good fellow, for she`s a jolly good fellow, for she`s a jolly good feh-eh-looooowwwwww... ...And so say all of us!
T will kill me, because I was supposed to be a little discreet - but why be discreet when your best yarn bud is having a BABY!!!!
*Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!*
Hurrah for T! (DH had something to do with it too, but never mind the technical stuff).
So lets all join in wishing Theresa a happy, healthy new year, filled with the excitement, expectation and joy of her new wee wean. Good on you, girlie!

Congratulations T! Thank goodness, you`ve gone public! That`s a relief. Now I can talk about all the baby yarns and projects and ask lots of questions about them and not make anyone suspuscious. Yeah, like they would have thought it was ME who was expecting. At 52! HA!
You know I`m thrilled for you, Ron and Tim. The best Christmas present ever! And the baby won`t even need new batteries. lol But the baby cashmere and silk came around at just the right time. :-} Benne

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Now this is very exciting indeed!Yea another baby to knit for! Gosh I just have a new book in and goodness my mind is already planning.
OK ladies....as far as baby yarn is concerned...take it from me....i think that anything in acrylic or a superwash is wonderful. Only because I accidently threw the baby cashmere sweater in the washer without realizing it and of course it felted! LOL So I think that for the sake of sanity I`m just gonna stick to something that I know can be stuck in the washer without getting ruined.
OK i`m just gonna shut up now! but this is truely exciting.

Yes, I`ve gone public, and now everyone in North America, across the globe, and on ships at sea can know. Well, almost everyone. Patricia, I am feeling disgustingly healthy for a fat old lady - really, I started at 50 pounds overweight, by medical standards, not magazine cover standards, and I am 44 which they tell me is not exactly young for motherhood... Benne gave me the tip to ask if I could use phazyme, and I owe her for life - I was never actually heaving, but I was queasy and that stopped it. I am not even queasy right now. I am due in June - just last night they told me June 5, not June 15 - and also that I have perfect urine and blood pressure and the baby`s heart is beating and I have seen the sonogram, and heard the heartbeat on the Doppler - in fact, last night I took "The boys" with me to "meet" the new addition. Today I am feeling really silly, because somehow having Ron and Tim with me made the baby seem more real, and so I feel more pregnant today than I did yesterday, LOL! I also think I am starting to feel the baby move - hard to tell, but I Think so. In two weeks I go for a high-resolution sonogram with the high-risk doctor, just to see what`s what. We appreciate all prayers, from all denominations of good will, in all languages. Jamie, both of the babies grandma`s live in NY, so if you want to be the Colorado honorary Grandma, that slot is open. Libby, Tim is way ahead of you - he pestered me to buy a whole bunch of baby yarn on sale in the LYS because, well, it looked like baby yarn! 100% acrylic Patons, my great-greats should still be able to wear it... Benne, we could always suspect your OFFSPRING of providing knitting fodder... Bets is right - this is a long-held dream coming true, and almost too good to believe. I knew you would all react like this, and it means so much to me you have no idea. I sincerely hope all of you have dreams come true in 2005 as well. Love, Theresa

Ah yes...
I forgot to tell you in my earlier post that this baby has a Bond Girl name. (I HATE he/she/it when referring to teenie-weenie babies!) It started off as Grace McAlister (because Tim`s nickname is McAlister). Then, T start "helping" and coming up with names like Rowena Rutabaga and Brussel Sprout Simpson, so we had to kick her out of the discussion.
Eileen had serious objections because this baby had NO IRISH INFLUENCE in her name at all, and how could she be a proper auntie without it??? How could this be a proper baby with a proper upbringing without a true Irish name? HA!
So it came to pass that this baby shall be known as Gracie McCasey, until such time as someone figures out the real birth certificate name, or she turns out to be a he.
BTW, Benne adores practicing her auntie role "Gracie Mac, you git your butt back up here on this porch!" HAHAHAHAH! (That`s true!)

Teresa,
What wonderful news!!! So glad to hear you are feeling well. Of course you have all our good wishes and prayers for a healthy, easy pregnancy and baby. Thank you for letting us share in this event, there is nothing like new life to help when things are bad. And somehow I am sure with all the honorary "aunties" here, this child will never lack for clothing! Congratulations. patw

Deepest warmest congratulations! And actually, I really love the name Gracie, too... Gracie is one of those antique names that never loses its beauty... I can already picture her with long, long hair, and twirling about the room as a toddler, playing with a strand of Baby Silk and singing "Mamma, you just HAVE to get more of this yarn!"
