I have made my husband a few small articles over the past few years and none of them have really been a hit. He is always polite and then puts them away. One a whim I ordered some blue alpaca/silk and made him a simple scarf. When the blue came in I was worried because it wasn`t as dark as I expected and I didn`t know if the color would be "girly". Well let me just tell you! He has worn it straight for 3 days! I am so happy I could just burst! This is now my favorite yarn. Oh in case you want to know what pattern I made it. I just cast on enough for 3 repeats of a basket weave stich and used the yarn doubled. It rolls a bit but it looks really nice and best of all... did I mention that he loves it?

Was this the sapphire? I didn`t get it because on the sample it looked dark, but on the monitor it sure looked beatiful and so do Shui Kuen`s socks. I`m already waiting for it to come back as i just found out that my wonderful SIL has a bright red winter coat and I think NEEDS a black scarf to go with, now I`ll just have to fill in the few colors I missed last time. Post us a picture of your husband`s scarf if you can. Daryl

Daryl: If you missed the baby silk, don`t worry. I am sure the next will be baby cashmere. It is even better. I knitted my mother a scarf with baby cashmere, she wears it everyday. The color of my socks is cornflower.

Yes the color was cornflower and it is so pretty! I don`t have a digital camera to take photos... so I can`t post it. Oh the baby cashmere sounds amazing...

Ahh, the cornflower I got. IN MULTITUDES!! Yippee. Isn`t it interesting that it looks so dark on my monitor. It is truly gorgeous and I INDULGED TOTALLY. So much to knit, so little time. Daryl
