I thought I`d give blogging a go and see needing something to post was enough of an incentive to get me knitting and spinning more. Take a look and tell me what you think:

My oldest son is on a flight from Washington to Iraq as I type for his one-year tour. Please keep him and all of our military in your thoughts and prayers. It`s been great seeing all the guys around here as they`ve been coming home for their two-week R&R but it`s hard to see them leave again.
Peace, Jean Ansbach, Germany

And prayers for your darling son-are those big BLUE eyes? I`ll bet all he has to do is grin, and the girls all giggle. Good lookin` kid you have, Jean! Let me know if y`all need anything...am I allowed to adopt a unit?

Hi Jean,
Your blog looks great! Nice graphics and pics, interesting writing. Author! Author!
Your son is a handsome young man and I know you and DH are very proud of him. I`ll pray for him and continue to pray for all his comrades. Let me know too please if he and his unit need things. I`d like to help any way possible.
Hugs, Benne

Thanks guys. Once he gets settled in over there and I have an address I`ll post it. The days of mail to "any soldier" are over so I`ll ask him if there are any single guys who don`t get many packages.
Peace, Jean

The guy with the anthrax stopped the any soldier for us. Wish the DoD had thought to permit postcards.

Cool blog, Jean! However did you get to knit the cover sweater for Smiplicity when you had only been knitting for a few years? Tell us that story... I just know there is a good tale there! It must have been very exciting!
We`ll pray for your son`s safety.
