When I got home this afternoon there was a mountain of white buffalo on my doorstep. It`s a good thing I don`t have to hide my yarn from DH because this one would be hard to disguise. Actually he`s been asking me every day if my buffalo has arrived yet. Now I`ll just wait for the weather to cool down a bit before I get myself all wrapped up in WB and mohair combinations.

Hi Laura,
If you got WB, you got a mountain of fiber. :-} My DH is fascinated by this fiber too. I enjoy working with it and am anxious to get going on the Christmas "not your mother`s coats" for DDs. I love it knitted with mohair, a very nice combo. What will you make?

Benne, What size needle do you use with WB and mohair, and how many strands of WB? I got my new stash in two days! but haven`t had time to open the boxes. I`ve been making hats and mitten sets with WB this past week. I`m going to Canada for the last week of the month and who knows what I`ll find there. I taking a few needles but no yarn! Happy knitting to you all! Jamie

Hi Jamie,
I used 3 strands of WB with the Outback mohair on 13`s and got 8.5-9st/4in. Since gauge is not critical on the "Not your mother`s coat," Sally said go for 7 or so, I didn`t worry too much about having an extra stitch for 4" because it is an oversize fit and I made the smallest size.
Jamie, that is the sign of a true optimist, taking needles and no yarn! I love it! I hope you find lots of nice fibers. :-} Benne

Thanks, Benne. I know just where to find the right yarns--I`ll tell you later. Jamie
