Great work Benne - though you need to get DH to take a picture of you in Casual cables, as it looks even better in person!
Eileen.

You are a lovely knitter, Benne. Like Eileen, I wish I could see you in them. Can`t you teach your clever pooches to use a camera and tripod? Les

Benne, Wonderful knitting, and yes, they do need someone in them. What are you planning to do with the swatches of WB and mohair? It must be a thick fabric, too warm or not? for the Tennessee winter. Jamie

Thanks ladies. I cannot tell you how nervous I was about showing Eileen and Theresa my casual cables. I really like making cables and DH was impressed. Let`s go on letting him think I`m a knitting genius. Maybe he won`t complain about the yarn everywhere so much.lol You almost need sunglasses to look at the red parrot sweater. lol It looks a little orange in the picture but it`s really a scarlet red. It`s my find me in the crowd sweater. :-}
Jamie, it usually gets cold here in the winter and very damp which sinks into my arthritic bones. We did not get below zero this winter but it was 1 or 2 above for a couple of weeks. It`s frequently way below 20 degrees for days at a time. I think I`ll probably rip my swatches but redo them for pockets on the coats. I wasn`t thinking about pockets when I was casting on, I was having too much fun watching the yarns blend.
I`ll try and get DH to take my picture in my cc sweater. Now my youngest DD wants one, and if she gets one, so does older DD. I should know this pattern by heart before I`m done. I think I`ll use the Uros for theirs since I don`t have any more alpaca. (sniff,sniff) Benne

Hey-
Very nice red parrot sweater-I wanted to tell you that you don`t LOOK your age in your pictures, and your sweater says your attitude is more in line with the age you look!

Benne,
Great job on the sweaters. I agree we want to see you in the sweaters! I think both will look very good with your coloring. What are you knitting on now?

Thanks Pat,
Right now I`m trying to finish oldest DD`s Valeria di Roma Capri coat on the free patterns section. It goes fast, but the yarn is fine and splits easily and I wish I had some pointy needles in a 9! I may break down and get some Bryspun or Inox for it. I`m sending your Brilla out today. Benne

Ditto to all the sends...I`m cactus green with jealousy! (lol) I do have one question, tho...the WB/mohair swatches are awesome; did you use the 6 ply or the 3 ply WB? What needle size? (just so I can get an idea)... Believe it or not, I sent a bunch of stuff to the dry cleaners this week, so should be ready to take pix soon (finally!)...you gals are so camera-smart, and I can`t figure out how to use a single use unit (sigh)...nevertheless, I will try. Again, incredible stuff, Benne...but when do you find all the time? Fran
