Corinna, I know you said you`ve finished your casual cables cardigan. I`d love to see it. I am ready to start the back on mine in cactus and I really like this pattern. BTW, I love that pic with you and Lars/PLB and the baby kitties. What a gorgeous group! The Berroco My First Project book has lots of good projects for beginners. I got one for my DGD. We`re sure going to miss you when you have to start working those long hours. Benne

I`ll post a pic as soon as I can get the digital camera from DH (qas well as the aran fisherman sweater for DS). My cables come a little higher than the pattern calls for - I got carried away and then was loathe to rip it out. Thank you for the compliment - I think my kids are beautiful but it`s nice to hear it from someone else. I might have to get that Berroco book.
Maybe we could start a book swap among ourselves. Or add it to the round robin knitting. As well as the latest project also put in a book to share that will eventually make it`s way back to you. I`d love to have more books but have two problems: $$$ and space.
I`ll miss you guys too when I start working alot. But I`ll still have to log on to the net to check emails and send estimates for DH so I`ll be popping in and out occassionally. Corinna

Hey Benne, Just finished the cable portion and did the two little garter stitch rows. Like a good book... I can`t put it down. I LOVE the Peruvian Alpaca. I`m buying it all up next time it comes around! lol. Better start saving now.
Corinna, I`m looking foward to seeing your pics as well!

Isn`t the alpaca wonderful! I just went back and looked at all the colors again. I think I`d like to get Lavendar, eggplant, and cactus when it comes back. I still have some of the cornflower under the bed awaiting my next project. I really like being able to log on here and chat about the wonderful fibers. When I try to talk to DH about it I think all he hears is "Alpaca, blah, blah, blah, knit, blah, blah, blah........" LOL!

Yes, I want to see how your casual cables turned out, too. I started this one in Bisque for my sister, then decided I wanted the cables spaced differently and ripped it out, then decided to make it top-down and with a yoke instead of defined shoulders, so I ripped it all out again and started it over from the other end... it`s going to be a long time before it`s finished now!
