To quote the Interweave advertisement...
"Do you knit in your dreams?" Or have dreams about knitting?
I`d have to say that MOST nights, I have dreams about knitting and wake up in the morning thinking about it... and I`m guessing it`s because that`s the last thing I do before going to sleep. (Right now I have a lot of sewing going on, some little girl dresses with gold thread and pearls embroidered into the yokes, so last night I dreamed about Baby Silk and Zephyr yarn, and knitting them with a strand of gold thread carried along... but I don`t think I`ll try it, because in the dream, the gold thread made the knitted fabric scratchy, and ruined my precious Baby Silk!)
But I`d like to read about other people`s knitting dreams! C`mon, now, I know you all have them!

I have dreams about knitting too! Sometimes it will be something I should have had finished to meet a deadline, and I`ll be trying to get it done and everything will be going wrong so I can`t get any progress made! This is linked, I think, to a recurring dream I have, when I have Greek class next period, and haven`t done my homework. This used to happen all the time from the age of 13 in school right through to the age of 22 at university. As I was the only one barmy enough to do Ancient Greek, I`d be the only person in the class - no one to copy from or hide behind! So, if I hadn`t done my homework, it would be really obvious. I used to sit 10 minutes before class, hurriedly trying to memorise vocab and translate Plato - but I never seemed to learn from the stress and would be doing the same thing next class! So, I still wake up now blurting out things like "I need to do my Greek homework!" Bizarre.
Another knitting dream I have is where I`m working on something that actually is a WIP - sometimes I`ll wake up and think I have done several more inches than I have, then realise that I just did those inches in my dreams - feck! LOL
Eileen.

Heh--actually, a while back I had a pretty bad cold, and was feverish at night, and kept having these terrible dreams about trying to finish a lacy top I haven`t even finished designing yet--the pattern kept changing, the needles kept breaking, the finished pieces were chasing after me, arggh!

I dream about knitting. Mostly struggling with colors. I long to have the ability to choose colors for multicolor/stripe work, but as Bets can attest, I have little skill and major phobias. But I can see what I`m after
So in the dreams I create the most incredible colorwork, only to wake up longing. I`ve tried the notebook-by-the-bed to make notes, but to no avail. Anyway, I think its fun.
I also find myself thinking about knitting while driving. Working out pattern/yarn combinations.

My dreams are surreal and rarely have anything to do with what I actually do all day. If I did dream of knitting, at least they might make sense!

I`ve had a dream or two about yummy yarn, but none really about knitting.
