I have this bizarre pair of wooden needles from goodness knows where, and they have me baffled. They`re too big for even the biggest hole in my knit-chek (which is a size 16), and there isn`t a size on them - it just says "diameter 1/2 inch". What on earth size are they???

According to www.turn-of-the-century.com 0.492" needles are a size 17. I`d call `em big! - Nancy

Size 17 is perfect for all those trendy eyelash scarves. Wood is nice, helps keep the slippery yarn in place.
