I am thinking about making a cardigan with this yarn. Would like to know about any pitfalls. It is 50% cotton and 50% linen, 19 sts. 4 in on #6-7. I have never used anything with linen. TIA.

Linen is not unlike knitting with cotton. It is not elastic as is wool or acrylic, so you must be confident of your measurements because it is not going to stretch or block as wool does. But you can depend on it softening with washing and wearing. It is cool. It sometimes has been known to crock if it is in the pure state, its color might not be completely colorfast. But since it is blended with cotton one shouldn`t have any problems with it. I think you will enjoy it. I have not used the Nova Sophia yarn but have knit a number of others and I like it.
