I mistakenly washed two sleeves of my wool cardigan project in the delicate cold cycle of the washing machine and the pieces came out slightly felted. I re-soaked the pieces in water with a little hair conditioner before re-blocking as Angela suggested but the sleeves look very different from the rest of the sweater. I have a little yarn left so I am unravelling the sleeves, re-winding, etc. and see if I can intermix the yarn. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve the felted yarn before re-knitting--eg. is there anything I can spray it with or soak it in before I re-wind the yarn?
