Thank you Benne - I don`t think I`ve seen Max, only Jinx! I remember when the poor lad got bitten on the nose by that snake - that was over 2 years ago now. Something that I found therapeutic when our Nunsy dies was to put her page up on catster.com - its brother site, dogster.com might be something nice for Maxie. Here`s our Nusy Buns: http://www.catster.com/?86814 - I like to look at it and remember her (need to update our other cats` pages though).

Eileen.

What a nice saying!

I`m so sorry about Max, he was very special. Losing animals is hard because they`re so good - I`ve never witnessed an animal (without disease or any condition) that was just nasty and evil the way humans can be. They deserve the best - Max got it with you.

Eileen.

Thank you Alice, Pat and Suzann. I think our animals are a wonderful gift. There`s a saying I heard somewhere that says it all. "God, please make me the person my dog thinks I am." :-}
Benne

Thank you, Cheryl and Emily. The post was kind of buried in Eileen`s post about adjusting gauge for the B&B. Even though I`ve still got Belle, my red heeler and Jinx, my art director kitty, my world seems empty without Max. Cheryl, I sympathize with you about your Max, it`s a hard thing to do. And I agree, in a perfect world, we could have our animals all our lives. The plain fact is, I like my animals more than a lot of people I`ve met, except at elann. :-}
Benne
Benne

I had not heard (or seen) that you lost your Max. I am so sorry. I always said that God had everything so well planned for our needs, but His one mistake was He didn`t make our pets live the same life span as us. We have to go through the pain so many times in our lifetime. Maybe there is a reason, maybe it makes us stronger or ???? I don`t know, but it is painful every time. Our Max has gotten to the point I should have him put to sleep, but I just haven`t been able to bring myself to do it.

My friend, I am SO sad to hear that you`ve lost your beloved Max. Our furry-footed family members pass through our lives so quickly, but make our days so much happier while they are with us. I know how painful it is to have to let them go. I will be thinking of you and Thom.
