Hi!

No, that`s not how it works-Ann buys "lots" of yarn, and lists it for her discount price-the price is X% off of the suggested retail. So it will be at that price until it sells out; they do not do additional markdowns. New yarns are added Monday, Tuesday, (sometimes Wednesday)and Thursday. They post at 6 a.m. Pacific time.

How long do they last? It depends on how desireable they are-both in quality and price. I have seen yarns sell out (dozens of bags and a dozen colors) within a few hours.
B

Thanks, It`s just that the both yarns are on sale now for half price, don`t want to miss out on that. How long do items last in the Bargain section anyway?

Hi,

That was the second shipment of alpaca this fall. I don`t know if Ann plans another shipment.

Our resident alpaca goddess has just gone on vacation. Has anyone knit enough of both of these to make a good judgement call?

B

The drape of wool would be much different. New stock of all colors of alpaca should be here by January, so I`d advise you to wait!

I am interested in making the alpaca shirt in the free pattern section on this site. The recommended yarn (Pure Alpaca) has a limited selection of colors. However, Highland Wool has an abundance of colors. Do you think Highland is an appropriate substitution? Will this yarn drape the same as the pure alpaca?
Please advise
