Congratulations on the baby results! I know that is a very stressful time indeed. I`m glad that everything went well. I`m hoping that you are feeling better and able to get some rest inbetween being sick.

Also Congrats on the shawl and MAHW entry in the state fair. I`ll bet that you gave that other lady a run for her money this year!

I missed the deadline for the entry into the Michigan state fair. I was going to enter "Twinkle, Twinkle little star" shawl that I designed as well as the sweater that I made for DH.

How did you like the yarn? I just loved that yarn... it is so heavenly soft (well, except for bleach-white, but that is understandable) and I found I kept going back for a little more of it, and wishing I`d started getting it right off, so I could`ve picked more different colors of it... I`m so excited to see the sweater you made with that yarn!

Cables! Gosh, I never woul`ve thought of using that yarn for cables, but now that I look at your sweater and think of how soft and fluffy cables can be, it strikes me as the PERFECT thing to do with that yarn!

Is it for YOU to wear? Tell me you aren`t giving this one away! Oh, I`m betting it`s going to be divinely comfortable to wear... that`s the sort of thing that would make you want to take a shower with your clothes on, so you could wash the sweater and your bod without actually ever having to leave the sweater... er... o.k., maybe not. O.K., sorry for that image.

Please say it`s for you, and please post a picture of yourself wearing it when it`s all finished. I have a question for you. I`m wondering if you know of a knitting book that has patterns in it (like the Barbara Walker books) but for the Celtic crosses and knots and that type of design? I did a web search for it and didnt find any knitting books but other books on the topic.

Knitting seems slow on my active projects. I think slow down and knit less when I am coming up to key pattern changes -- nearing the toes of socks, under arm of a sweater-- time to do the sleeves.

I will set a goal for tonight -- finish the body! I will also figure out how much more on the socks. My son is bugging me for them, although I don`t want him to take them to his dad`s next week. I`ll finish them on Sunday -- another goal.

I was on the phone to T this morning, and I told her that I`d gone to bed really late (on eastern time) and that I had a moment of epiphany as I was lying in bed, and was going to get up and post again, but didn`t.

What was the epihany??? Well, my little brain was ticking off the different peruvian collection yarns that have re-emerged. Aha! I thought - the Uros *must* be coming up soon - I`ll ask Ann about it!

I told T this on the phone, and she told me that someone had beaten me to it and posted it in the chat center - I hadn`t been online at all this morning to see it!!

Wow, that is really amazing. Seriously - I was honest to God lying in bed thinking about it, I have no reason to make that up!! Well, call me gobsmacked, LOL!

Oh yes - there was this American chap standing beside me looking at another copy of it, and showing off to his wife/girlfriend by explaining the pictures to her. So I asked if he had been to Northern Ireland, and he told me he had lived in Belfast for a couple of years. He heard my accent and knew I was from there, and asked me how long I`d been here and stuff. THEN, he went back to explaining things to the lady, but he dropped his voice significantly so I couldn`t hear - obviously he didn`t want to be caught out telling her stuff that wasn`t true that I could correct! LOL
