I made the scarf on the last page of the Knitters Magazine edition with all the scarves (Fall `02?) with Gedifra Novvum, Valeria de Roma Cisne and Filatura Brilla all from Elann instead of the Trendsetter yarns (Dune, Charm, and Sunshine) called for in the pattern. It took 2 skeins of the Cisne and one each of the others and looks a good or better than the one in the magazine using the trendsetter yarns for much cheaper.
