I used Peruvian Highland Donegal wool working two skeins in various color panels. Each Panel used 8 skeins working in a different knit pattern. I crocheted each panel together and trimmed the entire blanket with a ruffled edge. When the super in my daughter-in-law's building saw it on the bed, she commented, " What a work of art? Where did you get that afgan? It is a lost artform". My grandchildren are always joining their in bed because they love snuggling under this warm blanket.
