  • This top, designed by Michelle Ciccariello, is worked from the top down with no sewing or finishing required. The stitch pattern varies slightly, moving to a more opaque version to cover the bra. The lace stitch creates a wavy V-neck on one side and a scalloped neck on the other. Which is "front" and which is "back" is your choice. The top has an a-line shape, achieved by changing to increasingly larger needles approximately every 3" to 4" after finishing opaque section. Crest of the Wave lace can be easily knit and blocked to accommodate exactly the finished size you desire. The bottom circumference of the tank is 14 repeats of the Crest of the Wave of the wave stitch pattern. This pattern offers two size ranges by offering 2 variations of the Crest of the Wave stitch pattern: S to L – finished bust 32"–40" after blocking (based on 12 st per repeat of Crest of the Wave); or XL to XXXL – finished bust 42"–50" after blocking (based on 14 st per repeat of Crest of the Wave). • This bag, designed by Fiona Mill, is a great stash-buster. It uses 2 balls of the main colour and makes the most of the wonderful colour range available in elann.com Sonata Soft and other cotton-based elann.com yarns. The slipstitch rib pattern gives a firm body to the bag softened by the seersucker stripes. It is simple to work on circular needles as you are only ever working with one colour on each round. You first knit the base of the bag, picking up stitches to form the body. You then knit a facing around the top to give strength and stability to the handles and the magnetic closures. This bag lends itself well to a variety of colourways and would also look great worked in two colours only. With finished measurements of approximately 10" x 6", it uses 3 balls, 2 balls in the main color and 1 ball in a contrasting color, of elann.com Sonata Soft.
  • The Amaryllis, one of the most beautiful members of the lily family, shows its colors in this beautiful baby blanket. This exclusive elann.com pattern will be available in the Free Patterns section of our website for as long as quantities of elann.com Sonata Soft remain.
  • This poncho, designed by Michelle Ciccariello, is worked from the top-down with no sewing, and features a 3" deep keyhole neck opening at the front. You will begin by knitting the neck flat, back and forth across your circular needle, and then after 3", you will join and begin knitting in the round. The pattern is given for several specific lace stitches, but literally any lace stitches can be substituted. Look for lace stitches that require every other row to be plain purl, as these are the easiest to knit in the round. It uses 2 balls each of the two main colors (shown in purple and lilac) and one ball of the trim (shown in cream) of elann.com Sonata Soft.
