These alpine boot slippers for women and men are designed to be felted to a very thick, firm fabric, to keep feet warm and cozy. They feature double soles for extra comfort and longer wear and make wonderful gifts! In sizes S, M, and L for women (to fit shoe size up to 6 1/2, 8 1/2, 10 1/2), and in sizes M and L for men (to fit shoe size up to 11 1/2, 13 1/2), both pairs pictured used elann.com Peruvian Highland Wool knit 2 strands together as main yarn, following the high top version of the pattern.

    Ruby red slippers used 720, 780, 850 / 1090, 1150 yards of Highland Wool knit 2 strands together until the cuff section was reached, at which point Lorill switched to one strand of Highland Wool and one strand of Zsa Zsa held together, requiring 90, 100, 110 / 120, 130 yards of Zsa Zsa for cuffs and crocheted trim – works out to 7, 8, 8, 10, 11 balls of Highland Wool and 0.15, 0.17, 0.19, 0.21, 0.23 pounds of Zsa Zsa. The fold down super furry tops of the starlight blue slippers (pictured in Highland Wool color 2699) were knit holding 2 strands of Zsa Zsa together, without Highland Wool, requiring 630, 680, 740 / 970, 1020 yards of Highland Wool to reach the cuffs (works out to 6, 7, 7, 9, 10 balls of Highland Wool), and then 180, 200, 220 / 240, 260 yards of Zsa Zsa for the cuffs and added crocheted trim – or just 0.31, 0.34, 0.38, 0.41, 0.45 pounds of Zsa Zsa.     To dye this 100% polyester eyelash to your own specifications, elann.com highly recommends PROsperse Disperse Dye from Pro Chemical Dye.
