Designed by Heather Dixon for Amy of Knitters and pictured here knit by Karen Heimburger in Ornaghi Filati Natural, the Sunflowers Skirt pattern is available for purchase via Ravelry. It is worked in the round, top-down from the waist, making it seamlessly sleek. Mirrored cables follow the flow of the increases down to its lace trim. Easy to wear and fun to knit, it is finished with a simple tie waist. Suitable for intermediate knitters, in finished low hip circumference 36.5, 38, 39.5, 41.5, 43, 44.5, 46, 47.5"; finished length 17", it uses 460, 690, 690, 920, 920, 1150, 1150, 1380 yards of DK weight (21-23 st/4") yarn – works out to 5, 5, 6, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8 balls of Ornaghi Filati Natural (worsted weight - 20 st/4" – 98 yards per 50g ball). Using Ornaghi Filati Natural, Karen achieved the correct stitch gauge, but her row gauge of 24 st/4" was less than stated in the pattern, which was easily compensated for. For the version pictured, Karen worked two less rows between each cable row on the skirt and one less repeat for a finished length of 15.5".
