Karole in Zodiac?

I knitted a modular shawl in Zodiac for a Christmas present in 2005 for DD`s roommate in Singapore. Not one of these colourways, it was taupe/cream/black/scarlet. Looked very sophisticated. Knitted up quickly - had to watch the various plies a bit, but don`t remember any problems. Certainly on my `to use again` list, and that was at full price! Elann`s price is so much better that I am soooooo tempted. Would 10 of 5 colours be too extravagant? How big would the box be?

Its Easter but whacha knittin`

I`ve finished the back of Wren and started one front. Also started the Rainbow Shawl in Adara - I`ve knitted up through the colours from 1 to 12 and have just started knitting down through the numbers. It`s fun to do.

Adara Rainbow Shawl question
|
I`m using the knitted cast-on, untwisted. I have found that once I knit a few rows past the cast-on, the loopy bits just disappear into the pattern. I frogged my first start because of `loops`, but the second time I just kept going and it looks fine.

bianzhirensheng.com is working from China.McAfee found no problems with the site - it is clean - just flagrant violation of ethics and the legal system. The fact that it`s a legal site somehow makes the crime even worse. But, Mainland China has great difficulty with the concept of copyright.

Jayne, we have a major deer problem here on Salt Spring, so one of the garden centres sells a motion detection sprinkler - deer comes within range and gets squirted with water! All it needs is a hose connection, and you can direct the arc of the spray. Look for it at outlying centres, may be just what you need. Too bad your new toy wants to squirt towards the cul de sac rather than on your garden!

Sympathy to all of you in the East, and you too Lesley. I watch the weather forecasts from beyond the mountains with interest as DS is still in Ottawa and going to be there until the end of August. Of course, the worse the weather the more convinced he is not to live there permanently.
After months of rain we now have blue skies and blue sea. This afternoon sailboats are coming out of Maple Bay for an afternoon race - for you Elannites who have been here, that`s on the Vancouver Island side of the narrow channel that runs south from our house. The ferry is busily tooting at little power boats - five toots = get out of my way, you are in the ferry lane.
The down side is that it`s allergy season with a vengeance. Hence I am almost to the armholes on the second front of my Wren. Back`s done.

My Zodiac arrived----
|
Arcadia is a soft pale green cotton colour with the ribbon in light purple, pale gold, and olive. Very pretty spring/summer colour. The Aquarius has French blue cotton with bright ribbon in turquoise, royal blue, fuschia, greenish-yellow, orange, and green. Good all-season yarn.

No matter how well I think I have done putting receipts into envelopes by categories AND keeping a ledger, he always wants more - spreadsheets this time! I have to sit and nod humbly and agree with what he says, so that he`ll keep working on them.
