I am not sure if it would be more stretchy in a lighter yarn, might be. I was using a small needle and Cascade 200 wool. Might be why it was so firm. Trying to knit fast before St Pats was over
Benne, scanners are a tool of the devil. If the pics are huge they are off color

I was going to post the pattern, but then thought better of it :-o I found a link, the pattern is being used in socks, so it much have more stretch then I thought The pattern repeat is 4 stitches, 1k 2p 1k and I guess you can figure out the rest http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:Y-_PcndwkysJ:swordqueen.tripod.com/id10.html+Barbara+Walker++elegant+ribbing+&hl=en

She looks beautiful, and so does the scarf. How do you get her not to eat these things before you snap the pic?

Hi Beth
Welcome to the chat group. I don`t have the yarn you are seeking. Have you tired googling for it? Or ebay? Good luck on your search. I hate running out of yarn

Pasta kept reminding me of another yarn

I want that jacket. I think it would be perfect for movies in the summer, when the a/c is cranked up and you becomoe frozen. sigh but I just got a ball winder (thanks Anne for restocking) so I need to hold off on ordering :( I really liked knitting up the sample. Normally I don`t really care for ribbon yarn. This one feels nice and silky. sigh

Will not look,Will not touch sample, Will not look
Yarn diet hahahah Just ordered some HW for DD to look at.She wants a sweater in orange. My mild comment was that someone who was almost 6 foot tall might look like the Great Pumpkin in an all orange sweater. She burst out laughing and agreed. So I ordered some butterscotch and alspice for her to look over. I really promised myself that I would finish the top down sweater before I started anything else, hahahaha runs off laughing

Yay Chris--and Chewy was REALLY cute!

ohhhhhhhhhh Chris they are just too cute. Love the bag, and the critter is too much fun for a kid. Every knitter should have one, to carry around like Paris Hilton`s Tinkerbell ;)

Dear Barbara, you are in the wrong place. Getting over stashing here is like sending an alcoholic to vacation at a distillery :-D It is best to just keep knitting and hope for the best.;-)

Multiple Stitches???
|
Hi Rosann, Welcome to the chat group. What those directions mean is this. If the pattern is 8 + 4 You repeat the 8 for as many pattern repeats as you need, and add the 4 just once...so two repeats would be, 8+ 8 = 16, then the 4. These can be odd stitches that pattern needs or selvedge stitches. But you only add the + number once. Hope that helps Suzann
