date, time, & place I looks lovely Bri. I got married in Vegas :P Well he was stationed in CA and soon off to Viet Nam, our families wanted the big wedding. But we just wanted to get married. My brother and his wife flew out with me (from NYC) to be witnesses. Then they went off to Disneyland and we honeymooned in the Vegas area. When we got to CA, we took a long weekend at a beach hotel. Very nice. I got the big rock too ;) so I haven`t traded him in yet.
You are going to have some beautiful wedding pictures. Umm mine are at Hoover Dam Big Grin

Has anybody moseyed over to the sneak peeks? I am full of angora and Marly too, Benne. In fact I would love more Marly. The sneek peek is very good looking, but I think I will pass. Don`t tell anyone but I still have chunky and ball Hw not to mention the Jo Sharpe stuff. How did all those boxes get in my closet :-D

Bri, have you battened down the hatches? A few things I learned after the last hurricane
1: wash your hair...you never know when you will have hot water again
2: charge you cell phone, and don`t make any non essential calls after it is charged
3: wash your undies, who knows when the power will be back.
Space bag the yarn so it will all fit in the chopper.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you and Charles. Does he know you come with a trail of loony women in your wake :-D

Hey-Denise (birdlady) posted her bio (finally!) Great bio Denise, another Virginia lass. We will soon take over the web :-D

I worked 3rd shift and I never did get the hang of sleeping during the day. Or of impressing people of my need to sleep during the day. I lived in a mostly zombie like state the whole time I was on 3rd shift.

An idea you will love or hate! This is one of them, http://store.purlsoho.com/purl/products/patternlist/subject,29
it is at the bottom of the page. But I remember someone complaining about the loose leg part and another link went up. I have simply gone blank, and it is an email list that I delete after reading. Oh well the senior moments are getting closer and closer together :-D
I like the pair you showed, they would be so cool looking if you are in a cold weather zone. Zip up those winter legs :)

Shui Kuen oh wow The sweater is glorious. But you cable work, what an inspiration. I love the close ups. And thank you for your Mom`s cable pattern. As soon as I get the kiddie socks off the needle, I am going to swatch it up.
Ohh finish the hat too, the coin cable patter is perfect for the hat shape.

If I don`t log on for a day or two - it`s Katrina`s fault Glad you are ok, with clean hair, clean drawers and a fully charged phone :-D Sounds like a to do list for a rendezvous
Although a picture of you bathing in the duck pool might be worth a hurricane

All we are supposed to get is a bit of rain. To far to the east to get more then that. I expect the western part of the state will get slammed

I need a toddler I have a pattern for a knitted vest for the Russian kiddies. It has no neck shaping. As I remember toddlers don`t have much in the way of necks and I am worried the kid will be choked on it. Also the yarn I have is Lamb`s Pride bulky. It has mohair in it. Do you think it would bother tender toddler skin? Mohair does me in. I realize that the vest would be worn over something else. But the neck part might rub under the little chin.
Here is the pattern.
http://stitchesofviolet.blogspot.com/2005/04/cozy-in-cables-toddler-vest-pattern.html

What do you think, should I alter it to have a bit of neck shaping? I don`t mind doing extra stuff. I want the kid warm, not gagging
Also the toddler socks. They seem a bit long to me. Can you tell how long it is since I had a toddler about *grin* They ask that the socks be 6 inches long in the foot and about 5 to 6 inches from the top of the cuff to the bottom of the heel. I am casting on 40 stitches in HW on size 3 needles getting 7 stitches to the inch. I know they say they will fit some child. Still I would hate to be making them too small. I remember toddler legs as being chubby.
Someone mail me a toddler for a few days so I can do some serious measuring, will you :-D
I promise not to spoil them too much *wink*

I need a toddler Thanks ladies, I see that a lot of the knitters have been complaining about the neck opening being to small for a toddler head. I think I will do a bit of a neck scoop and have one shoulder button closed. More work, but I remember trying to get things over kids heads and they they throw a fit and struggle and fight against you. So much easier to button up after it is on the child.
I love the cables and moss stitch and it should be warm. Just needs a bit of a tweak. :-D
Tell the divine Miss K, thanks, Libby :)
You are probably right about the mohair Chris, I have HW bag wool and some of the HW chunky. But not very good child colors. The Lamb`s Pride is left from my Einstein coat and a lovely red, could be either boy or girl. And I have at least half a cone of it. darn.
I figure being an orphan is bad enough, without me making the itchy.
All toddlers seem to be old for their age. Little smarties. Good thing they are so cute.
sorry for babbling, I have been distracted by Baby Silk

Do you spit in public? If she gets stuck in Canada, we will mount a Commando Knitters rescue. All of us dressed in hand knit black Commando cat suits. About the cat suits, it might be awhile before we can rescue you due to the knitting of said cat suits.
Armed with needles and stash boxes, we will overcome any resistance and carry off Benne :-)

Samples came today! It is a fuzzy Alpaca. Very soft. Bury your nose in it soft.
I had a bit of an itch with it, but I seem to have been the only one that did. Probably just old lady skin :-D
