What`s on the needles, what`s got your attention??
|
I am doing a sweater from VK summer 06 page 69. I am using Sonata instead of Provence and everything is working out beautifully. I love Sonata , it is my first project with this yarn and I love the crisp elegance of this yarn.When it is all done I will try to send a picture.

Thank you so much. I have discovered Elann just a few month ago and I am having a great time with their yarns. The wonderful prices allow me to knit to my little heart content. I have just bought the book by Nicky Epstein "Fabulous felted bags". They are indeed fabulous and they are my next projects. I will be using HW ,they have so many colors!

Any good Bond lace patterns?

One good way to get a lacy look without much work on a knitting machine is by using drop stiches. they can be placed randomly or in a pattern. To get a drop stich look just move one stich over to the next needle leave the needle in non working position for a few row then put it back in working position. This create little ladders and they can be quite cute.Another way is to do a lace border ( which often I do by hand) then place the knitting on the machine for the main body part and do random eyelets all over for a lacy look without all the work.
A lady named Mary Anne Oger publish a magazine called Knitwords for machine knitters, she has quite a few pattern for manual machine such as the bond. Her web site is www.knitwords.com. I hope this can help.
