WOW! You should not have had to ask for antibiotics after surgery - it should have been automatic! I suppose some people are getting confused about the proper use of antibiotics, with all the reports of their abuse - or misuse - for colds and stuff. But a doctor should know the difference. Please be careful with infections. Do whatever you have to do to get it properly treated, immediately.
