Tuesday`s yarn and shrink-not-ness Not wanting to spoil the party - but there`s that "hand wash" detail... Does that mean that it might still shrink if it somehow found itself in the washing machine?
I`d like to know for sure too...

Silken Smoke Pattern I swatched it last night and noticed that there is an error on Line 7, which reads

Round 7: *P1, YO, K3, SSK, K3, P1, K2tog, K3, YO*, rep between **s around.

and obviously should read

Round 7: *P1, YO, K3, SSK, K3, P1, K3, K2tog, K3, YO*, rep between **s around.

The chart is correct.

This of course would not be a stumbling block to anyone here, LOL, but just in case someone less experienced tries to tackle the pattern...

Silken Smoke Pattern I usually go straight for the chart too, but last night House was on and I was too lazy to get up for a Post-it. Somehow it seemed easier to read the directions without missing the action...

Sunrise Circle Jacket from IK mag in 2006 I found that pattern in my saved files. I suppose that if you purchased the magazine you should be entitled to it without violating any copyright laws, right?
If so, email me at martardias at gmail dot com.

Election I am torn. The transformation of America into a second Europe (or Canada, no offense to our friends on the other side of the border) is not a goal I embrace. I grew up with the real thing and said no, thanks. This sudden apparent enthusiasm for government do-all (with all its inefficiencies and waste and corruption) really scares me. All that glitters is not gold, and I don`t see the grass greener on the other side of the border - or the ocean, for that matter.
On the one hand, "Only in America" has never been so true, and I am very proud of this historic moment!
