Kim, I think it is the silk in the Barcarole that makes it grow. I`ve had that experience with all yarns that have some silk content. But I am hoping that it only happens the first time it gets wet, because I have an entire sweater just waiting to be sewn up, and while a little more length will be OK, I don`t want it to keep growing every time it is washed...
