Entrelac-satisfaction in small squares, or mind-numbing repition?
|
I`ll try it at some point, it`s one of those things that look neat and achievable - but after your comments here, my first project will probably be in a small scale.

I second Bets` comments, and will add that it wears very well, even after many trips through the washing machine.

Barkarole question
|
Has anyone knitted the sweater featured with this yarn - or any other sweater - in Barkarole? The reason for my question is that I knitted my SIL a scarf in Barkarole that grew by one foot when I blocked it! Not a problem in that case, because he is 6`6" and declined my offer to shorten the scarf - he loves it as it is. But...I want to knit the featured sweater for myself - in spite of ribbing not being my favorite stitch, I really like the pattern and the yarn - and I know it will grow too when I wash it (I have swatched, of course).
So, my question is: does the pattern take this into account, or should I do some adjustments? What`s your experience?

Barkarole question
|
I have had this kind of experience with yarns that have silk content, so I think the silk must be the culprit. Still, it feels so good on the skin that I want to go ahead with the sweater. Will keep you posted, eventually...

Barkarole - thanks, Becky!

What you say and the beautiful picture are very reassuring. You did a wonderful job. Mine will be in the dark blue color, and I hope to start it very soon.
Thanks again,

After reading Becky`s answer and seeing her picture, I was all ready to dig and just follow, but I am at a loss again about what to do...More swatching and washing, I guess - sigh...
How close to finishing are you?
