Lap cats (for Chartreuse and others)

Cats are not nearly so individualistic/aloof as folklore would have.
My cats are very intent upon accompanying "their human" to the bathroom... to the kitchen... to the bedroom and wherever else "their human" goes.
I even have a feline who wants to be involved with the process of taking a bath. She perches on the rim and will step on an exposed body part/island to get near me and the water.
When a lap is exposed...well, it`s just a matter of time until a cat is in that lap!

I agree. There`s nothing quite like a slumbering kitty on the bed. So content...but then who wouldn`t be content when you always get what you want??? (My cat is in my lap right now, purring up a storm, having walked across the computer keyboard until I put her in the lap. It is only a matter of time until my legs fall asleep.)

I got the bubble gum. It`s a medium pink. Very nice. Better color than actual bubble gum. I figured a girly soft sweater in a girly soft color.

Okay. What we`re talking about are free browsers and email programs. I`m no expert, but Microsoft Explorer and the Outlook have so many holes in them that you get more viruses, things shut down, stop working, etc. etc. They aren`t secure because only Microsoft employees work on them; they don`t find all the problems. The bad guys find the problems.
In contrast, there are groups of folks who work together, for free, to build new browsers and email programs. Because there are many clever folks, they work together and build very nice programs. Their programs tend to be more secure because EVERYONE can look inside the engine and tinker with it. Some of the people who look inside also have the knowledge to do the bad stuff; essentially, this keeps the game honest, and what comes out tends to be tougher because it`s been field tested on an international playground.
Mozilla, which was the originator of Netscape, has a new browser, called Firefox. You can download it here. It will transfer over your bookmarks or you can do that manually later: http://www.mozilla.com/products/
Firefox has this cool thing called "tabs" so that you can have multiple websites going and just flip back and forth between them. It also blocks annoying popup ads. It`s great.
Thunderbird is Mozilla`s email client. You can configure your email to work with this client as well. (Think of the email program as just the mailbox; your mail, addressed to me@mywebsite.com can be directed to whatever pink, green, or polka-dotted mailbox you like.) Again, Thunderbird is much more secure than the Microsoft product.
If you`ve stored email addys in a directory, those can also be moved to a new email program. If this is still mud, then start by looking at the information on the website. If that still doesn`t make sense, then get your friendly computer guru/teenager/whomever to switch you over to Firefox and Thunderbird.
