Um, is it just me, or... Isn`t it the same girl who is modelling for the Schachenmayr Lipoma Lame that was offered a while ago.
Certainly is the same chest.

Alternative row counters Betsy, I think your method must be the easiest. I have all the gadgets but still love to use the old fashioned pencil and paper.

It is CANADA DAY !! Yeaaaa!!!!! Ellen....where in Ontario do you live? I`m in Oshawa, an hour east of Toronto.
Last night our neighbours behind us had a huge fireworks display....over $600.00 worth and we got to see it while sitting on our balcony. Absolutely beautiful.......Evelyn

Advice needed on MOTHS Hi everyone.....Today I had the pleasure of going into the big city of Toronto to a huge yarn store. I picked up some unusual yarns that are difficult to find anywhere else...all 100%wool. When I was finishing up the transaction, I spotted a moth chowing down on a beautiful ball of Lamb`s Pride Bulky wool. It wasn`t one of my balls. I didn`t get any of that kind. However, if there were a few there I`m sure they were on other balls as well.
So, I brought my yarn home and immediately put it in plastic bags and closed them up tight. I need to know what to do with it before I put it to bed with my other stash. I have hundreds of dollars worth of wool in my stash and I don`t want to lose any of it. I don`t even know if I brought any moths home with me but it`s better to be safe than sorry.
I know a couple of you have had experience with this so can you let me know what to do before I turn this stuff loose with my other wool.
Many Thanks.......Evelyn

Advice needed on MOTHS I thought I remembered something like that before but didn`t trust my memory.I have two of those huge black garbage bags stuffed really full so I would have to do it in stages. I don`t have that much room in the freezer.
Thanks for your help.
Yes, I would like to hear other opinions.

Advice needed on MOTHS Many thanks to everyone for your advice. Since I`m talking about such a large quantity, it will take me some time to do this.
I told the lady who owns the store and she didn`t seem too concerned. What a shame as these are some very high quality wools. I`m really leary about putting it in the oven. I sure don`t want to do any "oven felting".
After just bringing it home, I want so much to take it out of the bags and fondle it but I can`t risk it. I don`t want any cross-contamination. Sometimes being a nurse is a pain. It makes you so very careful about these things.
Thanks again

Fun with Dyeing - Don`t forget to wear eye protection! What wonderful news Benne. And....you have done many, many things to deserve this good luck. Just look at how you treat your friends, some you have never even seen, and all the animals who cross your path. That`s got to be a good person and deserves nothing but the best of everything. Enjoy all you receive and live in comfort knowing you are the best friend ever, to all of us.

Benne`s Eye Surgery by Thom Hooray, Hooray....Thom wins the prize for the longest list of reply`s to his post.
Isn`t it always the way it goes...We`re here enjoying being away from the men for a while and when one of them posts, we jump all over it.
Sure must have been one interesting subject !!!
Of course it was...Benne is one of our most famous girls around here.

Cheating on knitting- Bets....I`m embarrassed to say that those cute little things are out there for people like me. I`m a sucker for all things cute, whether it`s fancy cutting scissors, or storage boxes, or paper little thingies to put on cards and scrapbooks etc.
I purposely won`t get into card making (which I`d love to do) becasue I would buy us into bankrupcy.
As they say, there`s a sucker born every day and I`m one for sure. In kitting... the best thing that I`m good at is buying the wool. Yep, really good at that.

Blankie Picture Problems/Camera/ISP conspiracy Benne....I was so proud to be part of your blankie project. It sure is beautiful. I really hope it helps with your speedy recovery.
Thanks go out to Libby and Bets and all the other girls who participated in its creation. I`m not sure who all were a part of the whole thing but thanks to everybody as well. The post offices in US and Canada were very busy for a few weeks. Enjoy..........

Oh, it`s so good to have my home back! Cheryl.....I`m so sorry to hear about Sophie. I have been there so know full well how hurt you must feel.
Does your local humane society have a program for foster parents? We have one here and people can take a kitty into their home and take care of him and have all their food and medical bills paid for by the humane society. You always end up keeping them as nobody comes to adopt them. It`s a great program for lonely people and also for lonely kitties who need someone to love them.

bets, that`s beautiful.... Yes Bets, you certainly outdid yourself. I agree with all the remarks made here. You sure know how to take a few balls and turn it into something of great beauty.
Way to go, girl !!!

A Big Thank You !!! Thanks so much for all the good compliments on my latest purse and also for my birthday wishes. It`s so nice to come to this site and see that others thought enough to send a birthday wish. And, many thanks to Bets for getting it all started.

Yep, it`s my 65th birthday. Now I get good discounts legally and don`t have to lie about my age to get them.
Canada Pension is not new to me because I have been on Canada Pension Disabiity for a few years. What bothers me is that I`m no longer considered an "employee" of the hospital where I worked. Now I`m on the Retiree list.

I`ve been told that life gets better after retirement and I think it`s true. Now I have a good excuse for being a PITA. And I don`t have to blame my "bad judgement decisions" on my naturally blonde hair. LOL.

Thanks again my friends.

Evelyn - Queen of purses Hi Cheryl
Are you planning on felting your purse? If so this yarn is not a good one as it has acrylic in it. Also, thick and thin yarn is not good for purses unless you want to use it as a carry along with a more sold yarn.Just match your base wool with the most predominant colour in your fancy yarn.

Send me some more info and I will try to help you. Don`t get your heart set on this one as 49 yards isn`t very much yarn. Have a look at the Queensland Himalays which comes up on August 12. It`s much the same price but has 154 yards in it....and is much prettier.
I`ll watch your your note with more info.

Himalayas=Christmas Knitting? Also, this yarn is great for needle felting onto other items. Try a random swirling design. When the felting needle hits the skinny part of the yarn, it wiggles and gives it a real interesting look. Oops, I`m giving away my trade secrets.
