Ow, Ow, Ow! Also Alice, did you realize that you can go into the control panel of your computer and switch the mouse from right handed to left handed, so when you are told to right click, you can with the proper finger.

Anyone live near Durham, North Carolina? My son is moving the first week of April to Durham North Carolina, and I was wondering if there was any possibility of meeting up with any friends from Elann.

We won`t be visiting right away. We have to get new passports and he has to buy a house. His wife will join him later in the fall after she has full recovery from her kidney disease and no longer needs her wonderful doctor who is looking after her.

Thanks, Evelyn

WebKinz Do any of you Mom`s have a pattern for a WebKinz sweater? I have looked on all the sites for these animals and can`t find anything or even the measurements of an animal.

WebKinz Hi Donna
Thank you so much for the web site. I had looked for them but I guess I didn`t go in the right direction. I`ll have a look right now. Thanks again.

I got myself a swift -- FINALLY. Hi CBM....That`s so right about the ball winder. I just shake inside every time the gears on mine click, click. It`s way too much money to have it break. The Yarn Harlot had her young nephew break hers a couple of years ago and she still talks about it on occasion.

My DH says....If you want to turn out good work, you have to have the best equipment....isn`t that soooo right.
Enjoy Gaille.

I got myself a swift -- FINALLY. CBM...you could try gluing your ball winder with Two Part Epoxy. It`s the kind that you mix the two substances together just prior to applying it. It`s known to glue everything really well. My DH repairman swears by it. The piece will be as strong as it was when it was new. Certainly worth a try as it`s such a valuaabale item.

Svetlana, that skirt looks really pretty! As soon as I saw the skirt, I knew who had made it. You always design and make such beautiful knitted items and you can wear them so nicely too. Your blog is great as showing the real thing. You`re a talented artist. Way to go.

Have you seen the newest edition of Creative Knitting magazine? There is a very cute easy bolero in it and also lots of other patterns for easy stuff.

You`d think it was my birthday! NOT!! Diane....glad you knew enough to cash out and take your winnings home with you. I don`t know if I would be so brave. You win in other ways too, as your purchases will move you closer to the $50.00 bonus at Elann. Way to go.

Totally OT- Hi Bets.....I have a Kitchenaid slide-in electric stove and I absolutely love it. It`s my most favourite appliance. It has a ceramic cook-top which has got to be the best invention since sliced bread. I used to slice my hands up every time I had to clean under the burners. Because it is a slide-in the controls are on the front/top but it hasn`t been a problem when the little grandchildren are here because most of the stoves have a "lock" that takes 3 seconds to turn on and then nobody can turn anything on accidentally. I just can`t say enough good things about it.

As for gas.....I worked for the gas company when I was first married. We had a staff room well equiped with all the appliances. I swear I could smell the gas at all times. It got so that I couldn`t use the room because the smell would make me so nauseated. Not to mention the appearance of them. I know that almost everyone who has used gas, swears by it. I have never used it so my opinion is biased.

Lucky you getting to go shopping for a new appliance. I wish it was me. I love to shop.

While you were away Bets, on your great vacation, a couple people mentioned that the chat site was a little "quiet" and wondered what everyone was doing.
Has anyone noticed that now we have our Bets back, it is no longer a quiet site? Lots of things going on. I think you are the glue that holds us all together and I thank you for that.

All the Best.....Evelyn

OT Rose growers I was told to put "Pine Sol" cleaner, straight out of the bottle, around the perimeter of your property to keep the moles out. Didn`t get around to trying it. We have ordered this new gizmo that sits in your garden, is a ceramic shaped toadstool, solar powered, and emits a sound that is only heard by skunks, raccoons and moles and it is said to really work . It`s only $30.00 as well. They can`t keep them in stock here so we are on the waiting list. Last year the moles destroyed my gardens. It is supposed to cover about 6,000 sq. ft. of space. Most of our neighbours have also ordered them so it should work.

Hey there Elannites I have about 10 blogs that I read faithfully every day. If they don`t post in over a month, they get deleted and on comes another one. I am on Ravelry but it`s too big and I don`t care much for it. I mean... why would I print up everything in my stsh or on my bookshelf. I do love to see pictures of the knitters on Ravelry though. It makes such a big difference when you know what a person looks like when you correspond with them.
Yesterday I read a blog that had a video of the Harlot doing her thing. It was great to hear her voice. It wasn`t at all like what I thought it would be. I live close to her hometown and took a Needle Felting course at the LYS where she goes for Knit Night.

I have found it disappointing to see the lack of interest in the Elann chat site lately. Sure hope it hangs in there. I don`t post much because I don`t knit anything other than purses and that can get a little boring. There are a few great posters here and if they left, I think this place would fall apart. Oh ...that sounds terrible doesn`t it. Maybe we should all do our part, me included, to keep it going.
