Everyone from Storm areas, please report in...
|
Wow, Benne, and we`re complaining about some snow and ice....never again after I hear what your state is going through. Although I would enjoy the 70 degrees. I bet the plant life doesn`t know whether it`s time to start growing or settle down for another nap. I`m so sorry about all the people who weren`t so lucky as yourself and Thom. Take care and stay safe girlfriend. Evelyn

I feel so bad for you Grace. I`m sure we have all been in your situation at one time or another. Did you notice that all your friends who answered your note shared the same opinion of the male species. And those male nurses that Benne was talking about... I`m sure they have much of what makes us girls tick as well. I mean a lot of estrogen and not too much testosterone. There is the demon right there. Aren`t you glad you`re not like them. If the guys were in your situation, they would be well taken care of because that`s the kind of people we are...kind and nurturing and caring. Hang in there girl and soon you will be up and about and you will be so happy to be well again you will continue to treat the guy like he is an angel. I hate that we do that but we do.
All of your Elann friends have offered you good thoughts so take that to heart and enjoy our friendship. He loves you but doesn`t know quite how to handle it right now. Although I especially like the itching powder idea. I`m going to remember that one. Hugs....Evelyn

That`s for sure Suzann. We`re keeping all our winter stuff. We are all snowed in and can`t take another day. It hasn`t stopped snowing for over a week now and there is another week of it coming. We have run out of places to put it. Want me to put some in a white box and send it to you? By the way, most of the winter storms that we get here in my town come from the US mid west. You don`t get all your winter weather from the north. When you have bad weather in the Gulf states, you can be assured that in a few days our Canadian Eastern provinces will get the worst of it. However, enough is enough.

I made a hat too.
|
I just wanted you to know that I can make hats. I found this one at http://filambulle.blogspot.com/2007/04my-noro-hat-free-form-recipe.html I know I`m not as good as Ms. Betsy but I`m trying. This pattern was written in English by a Swedish blogger and even she admits it is poorly written. I found you just have to stare at the page long enough until it comes to you just exactly what she is trying to say. Sure didn`t take long to knit.

Hi Shiu Kuen....... I also missed the party. I hope you had a wonderful birthday. You are such a talented girl and I think of you often "snowed in" up there in Mother Nature`s most beautiful part of our world. You really do add so much to the knitting world and we are so lucky to share it with you. Can`t wait to see what you create from that beautiful golden yarn. One thing is sure...... it will be nice. Sample skeins

Has anyone ever knit anything using all of their sample skeins. I have one year`s worth and thought I would like to do something with them. Any ideas besides a scarf. I guess I would have to use similar thicknesses of the wool to make it work. Thanks

Libby, I like the idea of the Christmas balls. Think I`ll look into that. I just found a paattern for tiny sweaters as ornaments but I think they would take much more yarn. Again, I`ll look into it. Many thanks for everyone`s advice. Evelyn

I just saw my aunt on the evening news and it wasn`t good - OT
|
My thoughts are with you and your precious Aunt Elsie and her pooch. What a horrible thing to have to go through. Hope it doesn`t leave her with nightmares about it. Take care Benne, sounds like your relatives are famous for their misfortunes. Glad this one has a positive ending. Evelyn

Failed resolve
|
Benne, you`re not alone with your hopelessness. I don`t sleep well at night because of all those years of working nights so here I am on the computer. I placed so many yarn orders during the night it`s crazy. Maybe I`m lonely but I`m getting packages here almost daily and I`m loving it. Now we have to build yet more shelves in my storage room and maybe carpet the floor.

Ellen....I was getting the same thing for a couple of weeks...about 9 all together. You`re right, they are creepy. I just deleted them and now they have stopped. I never try to figure out where these things are coming from...I would go nuts.
Just don`t worry and they will stop. I don`t open them. I have my email page set up so that I can see part of the body without opening it. Don`t know if you can do this with your MAC. Evelyn
