SAFF anyone???? Hi Cheryl
Have they given you any of the self-injectable drugs that boost your white cell count? Most chemo patients are on them here and they do a fantastic job. The only catch is the expense. Might be worth asking about on your next visit.

Sportsfans, what`s on the needles- I think everyone knows what is on my needles. Better than that, I`m going to a huge "Creative Festival" in Toronto tomorrow. It`s a knitting and sewing extravaganza. Hopefully, all the vendors are there to sell to me. I saw my pain control doc yesterday and she advised me on what combination of drugs to take to enable me to last the whole day.....gotta love a female doctor. A guy would say, "stay home idiot". So I`m pretty excited. Around these parts they have never even heard of a "sheep and yarn festival" so there is no chance that I will ever get to one of those.

Life takes a left turn Benne.....these horrible things always happen to the good people. As you are one of the Best I know, I guess you had it coming. However, I`m so glad the surgery went well and you will be on the mend soon, just in time for the spring round of duckies. I`m sure the word has gotten out in the duck communities about the fantastic duck lady and the other Moms go there to have their babies. Pretty good deal for them, I think.

Evelyn- Thanks Bets. I went to their site a couple of times but they wouldn`t let me in. Maybe they shut down at night. That`s when I do all my surfing. I`ll try again tomorrow.

Evelyn- Thanks Bets....I had a good look at her work. It`s so professionally finished isn`t it? I recognize most of her work except the gold leaf bag. That would be a real challenge. Working with gold leaf can be very frustrating in itself, let alone it be on felt. Many thanks for the tip.

Right now I`m making a red floozy type purse. It has wild lining with floozies on it and I`m going to try to put a sequined zipper on it. I figured I would put a smaller price on it and it would sell. Then I remembered that I used about $60.00 of yarn and the zipper alone is $18.50 so maybe I should re-think the low price. It would be more fun to just give them away. I`m not a fan of selling things.

Talk about quick felting !!!!! I just felted a purse I made out of "Needlful Joy" wool. It`s such a nice soft wool with beautiful self striping. I knit a fairly large purse with it just to give it a try. I just pulled it out of the washer after 8 minutes in the hot water. (I had checked it at 5 minutes and it hadn`t started yet.) It`s now about 4 inches by 3 inches. What a hoot....it will make a cute camera case. My i-cord handle started at 3 yards and ended up at 12 inches.

SKs clog Your clogs are absolutely beautiful...better than any store bought slippers. Also, Billie`s were equally as great a few days ago. Must try some. The Elann knitters sure give great gifts at Christmas and all year....

Black Friday Ad- I was able to find an 18 watt floor lamp PLUS a bonus of a 13 watt desk lamp for $69.99 recently at our Canadian Shopping Channel so I grabbed a set. Love them. Of course Michael`s has them for $245.00. Figures. You always pay the top price there.

Little knits I`m currently having a problem with a set of Lantern Moon needles I ordered from them (wool gets caught on them) and they haven`t answered my email regarding it. It`s been almost a week.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our American Friends Ummmmm... would that washer have anything to do with
shrinking stuff. My good washer recently conked out temporarily and it was a Godsend to have another waiting for attention downstairs. When the repairman was here, I made sure there wasn`t any felted items sitting around to make him curious.
